If you use this, I am so sorry.
Out of all possible services made by Sparx, Reader may just be the worst out of the 3. There are so many reasons to why I absolutely despise Sparx Reader, so I will get straight to the point. Firstly, the book choices are not even that decent. You could genuinely say that you like non-fiction books and it doesn't give you a single non-fiction book. What really winds me up is that you can only say that you don't like a book three times. They expect you to read slowly, which means that fast readers will be waiting at the end of the extract and after they can finally get started, the memory loss kicks in and you end up forgetting everything and you cannot even look back. If you get lower than 1 less than the amount of questions, you have to go back and read the whole thing again, except at the second attempt, you can look back at the text but you are expected to get EVERY SINGLE QUESTION CORRECT, yet they have the audacity to have the answers to the 3 or 4 questions be extremely vague and be easily forgettable and also have a "Not in story" option. This normally would not be so bad but you could look through the whole text and not end up finding the answer in time. And not enough SRP is given, You only get 20, 30 if you're lucky, SRP if you get 2/3 or higher or 3/4 or higher on the first attempt but under 10 on your second or third attempt, yet we are expected to do 300 SRP in 30 minutes, yet the homework can take hours. As one who has fallen victim to Sparx Reader, I have tried to hold back several breakdowns while doing this homework. If any teachers or people working for Sparx are reading this, MAKE YOUR PLATFORM BETTER AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS. The fact this is used so much in secondary schools (mine included) is actually mindblowing. Because how can you not avoid the negative reviews and genuinely call this "A helpful tool"?
