Bought a ticket to race in Hawaii. Since they aren’t doing refunds I just asked for the merchandise credit. I’ve emailed three times and got no responses and it’s been over a month now and nothing from them.

Still awaiting a refund for the Gold Coast Race mid 2019!!! They ignore and say unable to deliver a refund due to a race happening in a month or oh we had a race 2 months ago we are still too busy. They promised to issue a refund within 60 days of completing a form. I first contacted them, took them 3 months to give me a form, now it has been 8 months and still no refund.

Just wanted to add my 1-star review to the list. I paid for a race in Hawaii and it was cancelled. I don't want store merch or a race in a different location. When they said they wouldn't be giving refunds, I attempted to dispute the charge, but VISA won't go back more than 4 months. I sure hope the class-action lawsuit that was started takes...

TERRIBLE COMPANY, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. IF I COULD PUT HALF OR ZERO STARS I WOULD. THEY FAILED TO SEND MY ORDER. AFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS, THEY DELIVERED THE WRONG MASK.I COULD NOT FIT IT ON MY FACE.WHEN I CONTACTED THEM TO ALERT THEM TO THIS THEY SAID THAT I SHOULD RETURN THE ORDER AT MY EXPENSE AND IT IS ORIGINAL PACKAGING & SEALED. HOW WOULD I KNOW IT IS THE WRONG SIZE IF I DID NOT TRY IT? THERE IS NO SIZE LABEL ON THE PASTIC CHEAP BACK IT WAS WRAPPED IN. NOW I HAVE TO PAY THEM TO MAYBE GET A REDUND. TEN EMAILS LATER WE ARE STILL TRYING TO GET THEM TO UNDERSTAND HOW TERRIBLE THEIR SERVICE IS. SOME COMPANIES JUST DON'T GET IT AND THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY FOR THEM: DOWN. THIS IS EXCACTLY WHERE THIS COMPANY IS GOING. STAY AWAY!

Tough Mudder was a decent firm before the takeover by Spartan in January. They are now a bunch of liars and cheats with no morals. Understandably they’ve delayed the event this year due to Covid, but our entire team couldn’t make the re-scheduled date and getting us all to another event will be costly and likely impossible logistically. They agreed to a refund to every single one of us, by email. However.... they then reneged on their promise to refund claiming their original email agreeing was in “good faith” and because they bought the company assets in January, and we bought tickets last year, they won’t be refunding us. This standard email has been sent out to hundreds (if not thousands) of customers. So they’ve taken on liability, are allowing bought tickets to be used for events BUT decided not to honour their CURRENT AND PREVIOUS T’s & C’s for a refund. This is a legal loophole and it seems they are entitled to do this, however, I’ve been advised they should have sent out notification of change of T’s & C’s upon purchase of assets and trading name to existing clients in order to make it legal in the UK, so I think they are on dodgy ground at the very least. Irrespective, their actions are immoral, disrespectful, dishonourable and dishonest. I will not be attending any event and I’m going to do my utmost (as it seems hundreds of people are also now doing) to ensure everyone knows what this lot are about, and how they treat their clients. If this is legally allowable, there’s nothing to stop them transferring assets every 12 months (or less) and dodging all responsibility entirely. They are nothing short of a bunch of liars and cheats.

Disappointing ! You find out what a person or company is made of during tough times. Our group has enjoyed participating with Spartan and many of the runs over the years. Due to a challenging medical condition which precludes me from participating I requested a refund. The management of the organization stated that they were unwilling to refund a penny but would reschedule without penalty. Really?? As we all struggle with personal challenges and the world deals with the stress of the Corona virus Random Acts of Kindness are opportunities to show we are all human. A lack of moral direction driven by Greed is not flattering. Do the right thing!!

I find it unacceptable that spartan race will not issue a refund as a result of corona virus. Poor business and forward thinking
