SpamArrest--Once the Best, Now Has Failed the Test
I started my subscription to SpamArrest in May 2005. In 2008, I purchased a lifetime subscription (I guess I'm going to die sooner than I hoped). For years I was very satisfied with the service, and rarely had problems, and recommended SpamArrest to many people. Then came May 2024. I was having a problem with SpamArrest and needed immediate attention. However, it had been so long since I paid for my lifetime subscription, that the address and credit card on file were way out of date. The only way I could edit the address and credit card was to purchase a one month's subscription for $39.95 and then had to pay $9.95 for the expedited service. SpamArrest NEVER solved the problem, even after I paid $9.95 for a second expedited service call. They never responded to my requests for refunds. Fortunately, my credit card company reversed all of the charges. Shortly after that, I got the email explaining that SpamArrest was shutting down, but that my one-month subscription would be honored. I immediately moved all of my SpamArrest emails to other email addresses. What I find really troublesome is that the SpamArrest website is still up and running and offering 30-day free trial subscriptions, followed by charges of $39.95 monthly for the service. I only hope that people check SpamArrest's recent reviews before signing up for the free trials.
