Why would a company sell you a product that they cannot ship without telling you in advance OR not even make it available. I understand California has strict environmental rules but you certainly can program your site so that once a zip code is entered for shipping, YOU KNOW THAT YOU CANNOT SELL THAT PRODUCT TO THAT PERSON, instead of calling them a week later and then having to issue a refund. Use the tools that you have at your disposal!

I ordered one Quiet Batt 30. It came in three separate 8ft x 16" sections. They are 3" thick. Very flexible, yet durable. Easy ordering process. I used two sections to wedge in between a temporary wall I installed between my home music studio and hallway in my apartment as a temporary solution to soundproofing until we can afford to move into a house. It significantly improved the sound isolation. I'm going to add Moondream curtains as well, but I am already pleased with the decrease in sound from the kitchen, hallway, bathroom, and bedroom. – DJ AFINO

In the description of the quiet batt 30 that I purchased it does say fits 16" and 24" spacing. However in other parts of the description it says batts are 16" x 8'. The batts are only 15" wide if that. You would think that they would need to fit snug to be effective. If joist spacing is off by as little as a1/2" they won't be snug and probably not very effective. Company needs to clarify sizing and whether they need to fit snugly between framing members.
