Horrible customer service and they don’t solve anything for you! Wish I would have read all the bad reviews prior to booking with them for our Florida trip. We were without tv or cable for the remaining two days of our trip. Not to mention no one would give us another room!!! If I could give them 0s I would have across the board. Plus, check-in was as horrible as well!! Don’t stay!

This is a long overdue review but seeing an advertisement from Sonder reminded me that I wanted to write it. I stayed with Sonder in the Edgware Road in London back in January. The check in experience was mostly straightforward. The room, though small, was more than satisfactory. The location was excellent for my needs as I was there for work in walking distance. But really I just wanted to compliment the overnight security staff member who, when I received the distressing news from home that I had lost my mother, noted that I was upset and really was just so kind. He gave me tissues and sat with me in the lobby while I composed myself and spoke with me for some time until I was able to move myself. I didn't get to see him again during my stay which was unfortunate as I was not able to thank him properly. (I forget his name but he was a tall Mediterranean looking man with a shaved head). I see many negative reviews here about the company but I can only speak from my experience and I believe they're certainly hiring the right sort of people in London at least which is a very large part of what makes up a good stay.

Bad start and I've not even booked in yet. Since when did it become a requirement that you have to provide government ID in the UK to receive information from a hotel or whatever Sonder appears to be? That's right, NEVER. We do not live in Nazi Germany and British citizens are not required to provide our papers in the UK to complete the login in to a website.. Apparently Sonder seem to think differently. If the stay turns out ok, the trust pilot star rating will be revised appropriately. We will see.... Plus point their response to my email was quick however it looks like requiring some form of government ID is their policy so I've cancelled. It's a silly policy Sondar but explains why you prices are so cheap, no return visitors maybe? I guess the Trustpilot star stays at zero which is too bad. Not the way to gain loyal customers, you have a lot to learn.

If I could give Sonder a negative review I would, they took the money out of my account then asked me to verify my account and it will not verify now I have to wait two weeks to get the money returned to my account when I needed somewhere to stay right away, Daniela on the phone was no help with the refund or helping me figure out how else I could verify. They did not even give me any other suggestions besides to wait for the refund, do they expect me to sleep on the street if that was my only money to get a place to stay when I am away from home? Horrible customer service and a horrible system!!

Sonder does a horrible job understanding the laws for government tax exemption forms. (Texas). They make it difficult to rent for military and not following the rules and regulations. I highly recommend go through other sources rather using them. I made multiple calls and email attempts and each answer vary depending who you are talking to. Sonders doesn't deserve even a star. I rather sleep under the stars rather wasting time and effort for this 1 star.

The apartment is clean and tastefully decorated. The staff in Madrid are friendly. That said, in the event of a problem, you have no one to contact directly. You have to use the chat where your interlocutors are friendly but ineffective in solving a problem. And it is not possible for you to contact directly with the staff you knew during the Check-in. Personally, I don't think I will rent a Sonder apartment again.

What an embarrassment of a hotel, and I use the word 'hotel' loosely. We arrived with high expectations after seeing the amass of 5 star reviews. But, you certainly didn't waste your time to disappoint! We were first greeted, upon our tour of the apartment, by poorly tucked sheets. Then, on to the loo's shower where there were engrained skid-marks on the loo/loo-seat. One night we tried to cook some steak and, unsurprisingly the extractor fan didn't work, in the end there was enough smoke to result in a fire engine coming, all of Sonder evacuated and there were NO Sonder staff present at the time of a potential fire. I don't know much, but there's one thing i know for sure- I will never return to Sonder, moreover even recommend the prospect of staying there to anyone. When i next come to Edinburgh and there are no Air bnb's available i will happily sleep on the pavement

Totally disappointing experience. I was supposed to stay at Sonder in New York and paid more than $3,000/month because it was advertised as doorman apartment, but they told me that they couldn't even receive any package so I need to go to close pick-up points to receive my packages. I even asked the reps that what does the doorman apartment mean then, but no answer. I felt like it's just a false advertisement. I wish I could give them a zero star. I was really disappointed because I was really looking forward to staying there as it seems pretty cool and nice, but realized that this was just super fancy expensive dorm without any good service. (even the reps I talked in the emails often changed what they were saying, which made me even feel very uncomfortable and frustrating. Please be careful.)
