Coming into the process of college application as a stressed senior, I was absolutely terrified. My dream school was, and always has been Penn (Wharton) and I was feeling doubtful about getting in. When I worked with Solomon, I was paired with Ms. Daniela Garcia and she was literally the best thing that ever happened to me. First of all, she has extremely relevant experience as Penn grad with experience working in their office. I was extremely well-matched to my counselor because she was an expert in Penn admissions, and also reminded me of myself :). She was extremely professional, intelligent, and an AMAZING essay editor who helped guide me throughout the process. Even after I got my acceptance, she continued to support me and offered to help me with any questions. If you want to go to Penn, or just want an amazing counselor who truly cares about her students, I would highly recommend her + Solomon in general. GO QUAKERS!

Jordan was always prompt, clear with his requirements and sending very valuable feedback on essays & college pathway. He was spot-on with his assessment of my daughter and pin-pointed all the weaknesses and worked on correcting the course. Don’t fall for the marketing stories. They did nothing to make our child feel special. We started with Solomon two years before college and our counselor suggested standard guidance such as take all AP classes, take summer classes and start a blog. Our child had a 4.4 sophomore year and 4.2 Junior year, D1 athlete and numerous leadership and volunteer opportunities and our counselor had little time for us once the application process drew closer. Once we expressed our concerns she became very defensive and removed conversations from us. We had to reinitiate the conversation’s 2 months before applications were due. Received 0 follow up after we sent applications. Still no follow up to see where sour son landed. Horrible feeling for our son and us as parents. We should receive full refund. Unless your child is solely focused on academics and the college process don’t fall for the marketing. Take your time, save your money and find someone locally for a lot less. You will end up with same result. I would rate them 0 out of 10. Don’t waste your money.

We chose Solomon Consulting upon a strong recommendation from a friend and started working with Grace Chee from the end of our daughter’s sophomore year to the early decision period during her senior year. We cannot praise Grace enough for her knowledge, guidance, patience, and problem solving skills. From narrowing down our daughter’s interest area/standout position to navigating her to apply for internships, which she scored a very good one thanks to her help, to encouraging and advising her about her grades, the extracurricular activities, college list, which are among many, Grace meticulously structured and executed our daughter’s college application journey. We are extremely grateful for her professionalism that played a very important role in our daughter’s early admission to Cornell University. We are very happy as parents and highly recommend Solomon Consulting and especially Grace!

It was a pleasure for my family and I to work with Ms. Gilbert! She gave so much specific helpful feedback for all written documents (even summer college applications). Each essay went through multiple revisions and edits. She also gave detailed, personalized advice on how to connect your activities to each other, enhance research, and more.
