Alexis provided thorough lists of programs to apply to, competitions, extracurriculars, etc. to make my application stand out. She gave quick and clear answers to my questions. During application season, Alexis made helpful suggestions regarding the content of my short answer responses. The process went smoothly for the most part, but there were a few complications which Alexis resolved effectively. All in all, I had a good experience and am happy to have gotten into my top choice school, Barnard College.

Lots of resources, and college-specific guidance. I liked how my counselor stayed in communication about deadlines. However, it felt a bit like my counselor was trying to make my application fit a mold, and suggested that I do x, y, and z thing (publish a paper, start a podcast), that I wasn't interested in. I ended up just doing what I always did and it seemed to work out. The essay suggestions were helpful, but the version that the editors revised was not the version I submitted in my application, I kept tweaking my essays afterward and sometimes they ended up pretty different. Ivy League acceptance anyway despite not doing some of the recommended activities.
