My experience has been horrible. I ordered the Domas sectional in Black on Feb. 21. I received a receipt from paypal and have heard NOTHING since. I tried to call the number on the website to cancel this morning. It did not ring at all, and just got an automated voice saying "the mailbox to this number is full". I have requested a cancellation via email now, and waiting for a response. I wish I would have seen these reviews prior to ordering. Would not recommend.

FRAUDULENT MERCHANT / BUSINESS
I had a very disappointing experience with Soka Home and would strongly advise others to be cautious.
I placed an order and never received the item. After multiple follow-ups, the company eventually confirmed that my order was canceled and that a refund would be issued within 15–20 business days. However, that timeframe has come and gone, and I still have not received my money.
Communication has been extremely poor. I attempted to call several times, but their voicemail is always full or voicemail, making it impossible to reach anyone by phone. Email responses have been inconsistent and have not led to any real resolution.
To make matters worse, I was later told I may have to wait an additional 2–3 months for a refund due to their internal processes, which is completely unacceptable—especially since I never received the product in the first place.
At this point, I have had to dispute the charge with my bank and escalate the matter further.
Based on my experience, I would not trust this company. Proceed with caution or avoid entirely.

So disappointed in what’s happened to…
So disappointed in what’s happened to this company. I ordered a sofa from them about 2 years ago. It was delivered quickly with no problems. I actually love the sofa so much that I ordered a replacement cover in a different color in January. The communication at that point was great, until they took my $1100. I got a response about 6 weeks later saying it was processing so I waited. And now 3 months later, they don’t respond to emails and the phone number is not working. They’ve gone MIA. Hoping they respond to this review because I really want the new cover. Too many small businesses get overwhelmed and then start scamming people. Own up to it and make it right. And for god’s sake stop taking new orders until you get your head above water.

Horrible experience
I waited seven months for furniture that was repeatedly delayed. I finally requested a refund. 40 days later, I’m still waiting for the refund and the company will not respond to my emails.

NO REFUND , IGNORING ALL EMAILS
Ordered a couch from Soka Home in December 2025.
Requested cancellation which they approved and confirmed a refund within 15–20 days.
It has now been over 5 weeks with no refund.
The company is not responding to emails or phone calls.
Proceed with caution.

What a disaster
(Ordered 12.10.25) What a disaster - like so many have already said, 3 months after ordering, still don't have my bed, or any of the refunds they claim to have sent. Same bs responses over and over - has been 'clearing customs' for 4 weeks now, and they claim it then goes to their warehouse in california, which after a google search, am sure is nonexistent. Absolute horse chit.
Also, told me after I ordered, it was coming from Germany. Obtained the container tracking, and it in fact came from China.
Also, looked up the company that owns Soka, HKG Trading Co., and that looks shady as well; their business address listed is a house in La Puente CA.
UPDATE 3/22 - where to start - they cancelled my order then reinstated it (I asked for neither), still clearing customs (has now been six weeks since the ship unloaded in LA), still no refunds (waiting since January). Phones have been 'updating' for 2 weeks, apparently their chat too), so no communication other than the same email repeated and sent every 3 days or so. 'still clearing customs, rest assured.." etc etc. Ignore questions about what the issue is, what warehouse/delivery service they use, and will give none of the info: CBP entry/entry number, Proof of customs release, Bill of Lading / booking number, and Truck appointment / terminal release status.
UPDATE 4/8/2026:
Haven't responded to emails in 3 weeks. My last email to them today got bounced back. Filed complaint with BBB.
UPDATE 4/14/2026:
Since the email was bounced back, and their phone mailbox is full yet again = no way to contact, I reported it to credit card co. and got an immediate credit, while investigation is pending. DONE!!!

Dear Customer,
We are very sorry to hear about your frustration and understand how disappointing it is to wait longer than expected for an order.
To clarify a few points mentioned in your review, international furniture logistics can involve multiple stages before final delivery. While some of our products are designed and quality-controlled to European standards, components and production may take place through global manufacturing partners. As a result, shipments may originate from different international ports before arriving in the United States. This is standard practice within the global furniture industry.
Regarding the customs process, once a container arrives in the U.S., clearance timelines are managed by port authorities and customs agencies. Unfortunately, these procedures can sometimes take longer than anticipated and are outside the direct control of retailers or freight forwarders. During this period, tracking updates may appear unchanged for several weeks while the shipment is being processed.
After customs clearance, orders are transferred to our logistics partners and distribution facilities in California before final delivery scheduling. These facilities are operated through third-party warehousing and fulfillment partners, which is why they may not always appear under the same company name in public listings.
As for refunds, if a refund request has been submitted while a shipment is already in transit or if a payment dispute has been opened with the bank, the process may take longer while it is handled through the appropriate payment channels.
We understand how concerning this situation may feel and sincerely apologize for the delays and communication frustration you experienced. Our team remains committed to resolving all customer orders and refund requests as quickly as possible.
Thank you for sharing your feedback.
Sincerely,
SOKA HOME Customer Support Team

THIEVES!! PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!
The furniture was purchased and payment for nearly $7600 was taken promptly with no problem. I was told at the time that it would be 15-20 business days for delivery. On approximately day 20 my husband of 25 years died in my hands. I phoned back to SOKA Home to check on delivery updates. I was told that now the expected delivery date was middle of January 2026 and one piece, the corner piece of the sectional, would be middle of February 2026. I cancelled my order on January 3, 2026 and was told via email that I should receive my refund in 15-20 business days despite what the SOKA Home website states, which is 3-5 business days. Nothing. No communication and no refund. I opened up a dispute with my CC on January 15, 2026. On January 27, 2026, in an email from David, I was advised that if I cancelled the dispute I would receive my refund immediately. NEWS FLASH…THIS WAS A LIE! This forced me to open up a new dispute with my bank on February 11, 2026. It is currently March 4, 2026 and still no refund. Two thing of note, if my review and the others haven’t informed enough, every time someone answers their customer service phone they answer as if it is a personal phone call and I have had to now process a small claims court filing to recover my money. I have filed over 130 pages of paper of gaslighting emails for my dispute evidence. This is the nightmare that you don’t wake up from.
Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This is a scam company that takes joy in robbing potential customers. I can’t wait to read SOKA Home’s gaslighting in response to my 3rd review. They need to be put out of business.

Dear Michael ,
First and foremost, we are deeply sorry for the loss of your husband. We cannot imagine how difficult that time must have been for you, and we truly regret that an order issue added additional stress during such a painful period.
We would also like to sincerely apologize for the frustration surrounding your order and refund process. Your furniture order did experience delays due to supply chain and production scheduling issues that affected several shipments during that period. We understand how upsetting it must have been to receive updated delivery timelines after the initial estimate.
Regarding the refund, our team processed the cancellation request according to our internal procedures. However, once a credit card dispute is opened with the bank, the refund process must follow the chargeback procedure handled between the payment processor and the issuing bank. During this time, the funds are typically held by the financial institution until the case is resolved, which can unfortunately extend the timeline beyond our standard refund window.
We would also like to clarify that our intention has never been to mislead or pressure customers. If any communication from our team caused confusion or frustration, we sincerely apologize. That is not the experience we want anyone to have with our company.
SOKA Home is committed to resolving all customer concerns properly, and we fully cooperate with financial institutions during dispute investigations. We hope the matter will be finalized through the chargeback process as quickly as possible.
Thank you for sharing your feedback.
Sincerely,
SOKA HOME Customer Support Team

BUYER BEWARE!!
BUYER BEWARE!!! This company is a scam. They will string you along telling you that there is a delay in shipping or a delay in your refund and you'll never receive the product. I ended up having to dispute the charge for my furniture with my CC company.
Response from Soka HomeMar 6, 2026
Dear Sarah,
We are truly sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating delays can be, especially when you are waiting for a large purchase like furniture.
However, we would like to respectfully clarify that our company does not engage in fraudulent practices. All orders placed through our store are legitimate and are either fulfilled or refunded according to our policies. In some cases, international supply chain disruptions, production scheduling, and freight delays may extend delivery timelines beyond the original estimate. When this happens, our team works to provide updates and assist customers with available options.
We also understand your decision to contact your credit card provider. Once a chargeback is initiated, the case is typically handled directly between the payment institution and our payment processor, and we fully cooperate with that process to resolve the matter properly.
Customer trust is extremely important to us, and we regret that your experience did not meet expectations. If there is any remaining issue regarding your order or refund status, our support team would still be glad to review the case and provide clarification.
Thank you for your feedback.
Sincerely,
SOKA HOME Customer Support Team
