good of changing my date

Bridge to the cabin needs to be fixed. Those dips on either end are rediculous and could easilly tear up someones suspension. Thought that this was a secluded Cabin, by itself. Got there and there was another Cabin right next to us. Very little space for parking, not everyone has tiny cars, and with someone else at the other Cabin there was little room for my truck. Inside was nice, looked just like the pictures! Hot water was HOT!!! Decent water pressure and clean. Outside gutters need to be cleaned out, rain water is running over them and making the wooden deck slick. While checking out and taking things to my truck, I slipped on the deck and fell, landing on an already injured foot and elbow, and hit my head. That was not so pleasant. Over all a somewhat pleasant experience.

Fast friendly service

Nice cabin but our bedroom in the basement had wet carpet so there was a musty smell. No chair to sit on in basement. No real table to put clothes on in bathrooms when taking a shower. No wifi. Uncomfortable seating in living room area.

We had a great mini vacation at the cabin, situated in a very quite and peaceful location. We did have a couple of issues 1st, that when we arrived at the security gate the property office hadn't sent our conformation details so they would not let us through, problem soon solved with a quick phone call, 2nd, the cabin was not very clean, it had what looked like soot from the from the fire all over the living room ceiling, also dishes and cups were cracked and just the general cleanliness of the cabin wasn't very good with quite a bit of wear and tear throughout. This did not stop us having a great time hiking and exploring the surrounding towns and attractions, would definitely return to the Smokies.

The cabin was great minus no washer or dryer. We stayed in this cabin 6 nights and utilized the kitchen a lot. On the 3rd day of being there I called and asked if the trash could be picked up since there were 4 of us staying at the cabin and eating every meal there, it was starting to stink on the 3rd day. Called customer service who took down my name and had someone call me back that stated that since we were there for only 6 nights that there would be a 25.00 fee to pick up trash before we departed and use the big trash cans provided on the porch which we were already using. Needless to say with meat wrappers and paper plates it got stinky quick and by the time we left you couldn't even go by that area of the porch with out gagging.

My husband and I are repeat customers and look forward to renting every year. The cabins are of good quality and are clean and inviting. Another nice perk with going with Colonial Properties is the coupons they provide for various attractions. We were a little disappointed this year when we heard they discontinued the discount for returning customers. The rental prices also jumped within a day of looking. I called to see if we could get the previous price to book and they said no. When planning for multiple families and getting schedules together a warning price increase would really help. Also not getting any kind of refund back if you would happen to cancel in advance is very disappointing. If an emergency were to happen or my husbands job were to call him in for mandatory work and we would be out all money. That is something to think about when booking.
