Unfortunately we had a bad first cabin experience at "Dream Retreat" with colonial properties. Looking back this could have easily been a 5 star review instead of 2. Cabin was beautiful and in a great location. Problems, view almost completely blocked by over grown trees, hot tub broken entire stay, trash outside cabin not picked up. The couch, pool table, indoor jacuzzi, windows all were not cleaned well. BBQ pit completely rusted through bottom. These are all easily "fixable" problems. Hopefully the company invests some into getting these issues resolved because the cabin could be amazing if these are corrected. The office did seem to be readily available for us to contact but it's not my desire to call over and over to follow up on issues that shouldn't be there in the first place on my anniversary. We called multiple times over the cleaning and broken hot tub issue. They did eventually send a cleaning crew later in the evening but it ruined our time to go enjoy the city because we didn't want anyone inside with our valuables. Also, the maintenance man came late the first night and told us the hot tub would be fixed the next day because he did not have the parts to fix it. Well, the next day came and gone and we never heard another word from the office we called and they said it should be fixed soon. We're back in Texas now and still no word of the hot tub was fixed but I know it was broke when we checked out. We had no offer from colonial to comp our stay or even a "sorry about that checkup call". That's ok we still made the best of it despite the issues the cabin itself is beautiful. Location is good. Overall I think they tried to help us just didn't follow through.

Colonial properties offers all the amenities you would need whether it's for all girl vacation, family vacation, A get away for a couple. they have it all, it is always clean, spacious, beautiful views. I recommend this for anyone and everyone for any occasion! I wouldn't go through anyone else other than colonial properties !!

The cabin itself is decorated beautiful. But there is no privacy and no view like stated. The cleanliness is terrible. If you had allergies you wouldn't be able to stay here. It's so much dust until it's actually hanging off of the curtains , the top of the refrigerator has dust and bugs. The appliances are outdated and dirty , rust in the hinges of the refrigerator, the washer was full of dirty towels , there's a musty smell in the bathroom, the floor in the bathroom was filthy. We went to the nearest store to get cleaning supplies to wipe down the kitchen table . It's definitely not worth the money that you spend. We've stayed at other a cabins for the same price that were much better. For what you spend here you would have at least thought they would have coffee filters. What we plan to do is leave the filters for the next guess along with the disposable salt and pepper shakers. With that being said we definitely didn't try the Jacuzzi or outside hot tub.For the cleaning fee that we were charged it's ridiculous . We traveled 6 hours for a weekend getaway that's very disappointing. The pictures aren't even of our surroundings. Thank God for photo shop. I paid the extra money because of the views and privacy that was described. It's only the two of us but we rented a cabin that sleeps eight because of the descriptions that were given. I'm just at a lost for words.

Very Professional group of people to work with, that is why we are returning customers. We always have peace of mind that our reservations are secure and that the properties are always above standard! We look forward to many more years with this company and making memories knowing that we are doing business with a company that has our family in mind.

The cabin was beutiful, very clean. We will definatly stay there again!

Since we have only made a reservation so far, that is all I can review at this time. But, the reservation process was good.

It was easy to book and see what dates were and were not available. It was also easy to identify the rates.

Upon arriving we were surprised in the condition of the property. First off we understand that all items displayed on the website property profile are not always promised as seen, BUT we feel that the quality of replacements should be equivalent to what is shown and to the price charged. The overall quality of this particular unit was less than disappointing. In our experience we have previously rented other cabins in the same area, the same price range that were of better quality, better views, and the interior was much more updated and upscale. The unit could definitely use some TLC!!
