*Problems folding out* Updated review after my experience with customer service. The manual for my product wasn’t helpful when it comes to folding it up and down as shows inaccurate instructions. Customer service was prompt to email back however customer service over the phone was unhelpful. I was sent a video on how to do it via email but it definitely isn’t as seamless for folding up and down as the video makes it out to be, just be wary if purchasing specifically to travel.

Ordered a trike for my daughters Christmas present. It arrived pretty much on time but when unpacked quite a few screws missing so unable to assemble. Have contacted through various means and after send pictures they agreed to send missing parts. They have never apologised once. Screws are being sent from china and not due to arrive until 28th December at the earliest. This means no main Christmas present for my daughter so really upset

UPDATE FOLLOWING smarTrike response to my review - claimed to have sent me an email to help resolve the issue. No email received yet. Orignal review: We bought our SmarTrike back in March and whilst the bike looked great and our little boy loves it as owners we've become increasingly frustrated with it. Firstly the brake kept sticking and was really difficult to get off. Then it randomly started to just come on as you were walking. The immediate solution to try and fix this involves taking one of the wheels off the trike and forcing the brake off. This isn't helpful when you have a small child in the trike and is even more challenging if you are on your own on a busy street when you need to focus on where they are and how to fix the trike. We contacted support who shared a useful video on how to fix the problem but in all honesty it still sticks quite a lot and is really difficult to get off when on therefore I have no confidence in using the brake. Then there is the parent/child control wheel which means you can have it in a mode where the child steers or one where the parent push has steering. This also randomly changes as you are pushing them along and you find you either veer off out of control (which is also dangerous if you are on a busy street) or you are fighting a toddler to get it in a straight line. Again there is a video on how to fix this. Finally the seat is now very wobbly and lopsided meaning it looks like our little boy is about to fall out or it is going to snap at any point. I've not checked what I need to do to fix this yet or if there is a video but in order to use this trike be prepared to have to do a lot of maintenance. We have had this trike for just over three months and it is supposed to last us until our son is three but I feel it will be confinided to a skip well before then. So if you want a fairly cool-looking trike that is maintenance time-intensive and feels like it is either going to fall apart or end up dragging you into the road because of poor brakes and steering then this is for you. If not I recommend saving your money.

Got the smar trike splash in purple and can honestly say it’s the worst toy I’ve ever bought my daughter. The steering for this trike is absolutely shocking, the foot rests are too far back so she cannot comfortably have her feet on them and the peddles do not close once open which means my daughters feet twist with the front wheel every time it moves. Do not recommend at all, total waste of money!!
