smartrikeReviews of smartrike.com

This scooter is very dangerous; our grandson doesn't dare to ride it anymore. The handlebar has a little lever at the bottom that's supposed to fold the scooter. This lever often pops out on its own, causing the handlebar to fold while riding, and our grandson has fallen several times because of it. The store supposedly fixed it, but this still keeps happening.

Avoid at all costs. The trike is extremely difficult to unfold despite following their online instruction vid. It often gets stuck even if you are trying to pull it out swiftly. When contacting the company they insist there’s nothing wrong. The product doesn’t meet expectations or reasonable quality. Don’t waste your money. EDIT: I purchased a smarTrike from a retailer and found that the trike was extremely difficult to unfold. As this is something that needs to be used regularly with a young child, it became very frustrating. I contacted smarTrike directly for assistance and provided the information they requested. Unfortunately, despite contacting them, I was not able to get the issue resolved through smarTrike. The retailer I purchased the trike from ultimately stepped in and provided me with a full refund, which I appreciate. I have updated this review because smarTrike has now responded here saying they would like to look into the matter and work with me on a solution. I want to clarify that I had already contacted smarTrike about the issue, but the eventual resolution and refund came from the retailer, not smarTrike.

I wish I had never bought this scooter. One of the wheels was faulty when I received it, and even after months of waiting and following up, nothing has been solved. Their customer service is unprofessional and disrespectful — they truly don’t value their customers.

We ordered a trike , it arrived dirty and damaged. There is no number to call to speak to someone about this and our emails to your "help" email address are just ignored outright and have been for days. Would definitely not recommend purchasing anything from this company.

I just bought smart trike for my son and i just use for 1 day and break always stuck and u are not responding

I order extended scooter for my son one side of the scooter was broken I emailed the customer service they agreed to send me another one but I have been waiting for more than 2 weeks very poor customer service when u email them they reply after few days very slow and disappointing service I do not recommend it and scooter not safe for 12 months old be careful when u buy it

Awful experience here in Australia. I purchased the Smartrike but our son progressed to no training wheels before his birthday so wanted something bigger. After waiting 4 weeks and multiple messages to obtain a returns label it was received back to their warehouse on 5th December unopened. I am still waiting for the refund as of 22nd December. The customer service rep (Aya) states that the accounting team is having problems processing the transaction but literally takes a week to respond to simple messages. At the least their local accounts team should call me to sort whatever issue there is. Given the delay tactics I am beginning to think they have a policy to not process returns / refunds to improve their financial position. So at present this company, based on my experience, is not complying with local consumer laws.

My son was gifted a 3 in 1 scooter. We used it a handful of times and the wheel literally snapped off as he was riding it in the park on smooth pavement. He was 2 years old when this happened so it’s not like he was riding recklessly. I reached out and they sent 2 wrong replacements. On 6/15/23 they apologized once again for sending the wrong replacement and assured me that the correct item will be overnighted. It is now 6/20/23 and I have yet to receive the scooter or a response to my numerous emails asking for a tracking number. Prior to Thursday the company was responding to every email in less than 24 hrs. It’s been 5 days and nothing. My son still has no scooter. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! And beware of faulty products that could seriously injure your child.
