⭐ 1 star Absolutely ridiculous company. I park at the same car park regularly and normally pay every single day through the RingGo app. On this occasion I made a genuine one-off mistake and forgot to make the payment. There was no attempt to deliberately avoid paying, and I have a clear history of regularly paying to park there. I appealed the parking charge and explained exactly what happened. Their response? Appeal rejected. Apparently there is absolutely no room for a genuine human mistake, despite the fact that I am a regular customer who normally pays. What makes it even more frustrating is that their own appeals process specifically provides an option for situations where someone has forgotten to pay, yet when you actually explain that this is what happened, they simply reject it and demand the money. The whole experience feels less like managing parking fairly and more like finding an opportunity to issue charges and collect money. If you regularly use this car park, be extremely careful and double-check your RingGo payment every single time, because apparently one genuine mistake is enough for them to issue a charge and completely disregard your previous payment history. Very disappointing and completely lacking in common sense or customer consideration. 1 star because zero isn't an option.

I parked in Willen Lake Milton Keynes. I had my disabled child with me waiting for me in the car while I attempted to pay for parking. Neither pay machines worked, they were both faulty. I attempted to pay via RingGo, however, I could not get enough service on my phone to do so. My son at this point was getting irate. Other members of the public just gave up. I got a ticket. I pleaded with this company to let me off as I’m a single dad with a disabled child and made every effort to pay for the parking. They rejected my appeal. Absolutely disgusting company, I have no idea how companies like this can still run.

This company is a joke, bunch of pirates trying to operate as a legitimate company.

What a bunch of rogues!!! Received a fine from this delightful company for "paid for insufficient time" which I'm not disputing. Unfortunately, I didn't realise the car park at a local beauty spot was 24 hours and therefore got caught out by not paying enough when I arrived late afternoon. (Incidentally the parking instructions were on an 11 foot sign). What I do object to is the fact that the fine was issued on 25/6/26 but didn't arrive on my door mat until 14/7/26. I was therefore not able to pay the 14 day discounted rate of £60.00. Like many others before me, I tried to contact Smart Park to query this but to no avail. At least give your customers a fighting chance!!!!!!!!!!! Since the installation of this ANPR system at Siblyback Lake many locals have stopped using this recreational space. One elderly lady stated that due to walking slowly she was fined for not getting back to her car in time - despicable!!!

I gad the exactly same problem like everyone. The ma hine was not working and there's no Internet in the area I paid later and received a fine of £170 for parking that I paid being threatened by debt collectors that I will need to find a lawyer. I had so problems in my head that time that I didn't check I thought I parked over .When I checked I paid exactly for 1 hour and paid already for one hour. The complaint that I've placed and evidence sent with payment were not taken in consideration nobody even checked at all the evidence .They're nasty staff that don't know what they're doing. I send all the evidences of all my payments to my bank and dispute the charge. I got my money back .They still are responding to my complaint your case is closed as they don't even get bothered. Never ever park again in these places where is smart parking.

In 2023, we received a parking charge at Rice Lane Retail Park, which we believed had been dealt with at the time. Then, out of nowhere years later, Smart Parking started pursuing it again. We contacted them to explain the situation and were told they would investigate, yet instead of resolving the matter, they’ve escalated it to solicitors and we’ve now received a Letter of Claim demanding £170. The way this has been handled is beyond incompetent. Rather than properly investigating the dispute, they’ve chosen to pile on stress and intimidation through legal threats. It’s an absolute disgrace that people can be chased years later over something they genuinely believed had already been resolved. This has caused unnecessary anxiety, wasted countless hours, and created huge stress for my family, including an aspiring doctor and her elderly grandmother. No company should treat people like this over a parking dispute. It honestly feels like customer service is an afterthought, with the focus instead on threatening people into paying. The complete lack of empathy, common sense and professionalism is staggering. An absolute shambles from start to finish. Avoid these cowboys at all costs. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I had logged in my registration in house Public house giving free parking entitlement. The console had a fault so I got a ticket, & escalated to debt collectors £170. Manager emailed them to order cancellation for a valued customer spending a few £1000/year there, every year. Smart parking reviewed it & rejected it. Appeal process with them is automatically refused, they pretend otherwise. Just don't pay, they are money driven Vulcherous leeches!
