I'm not sure if I'm rating the website/buying experience or the actual machine. The website/purchase was fine. The machine itself leaves A LOT to be desired. I don't know if I have a bad machine or what but it is so loud. It sounds like someone is vacuuming my head every time I put it on. And the sound fluctuates with my breathing which my machine at home does NOT do, it's just a constant 'white noise'. I am not sure if I can handle this Transcend Micro machine as I had bad nights of sleep, trying to get to sleep took forever as I was breathing along with the sound of 'vacuuming'. Is there anything that can be done? According to the website, the machine is supposed to be one of the quieter ones. Hmmm.

This little machine is so small and light, it made it perfect for traveling overseas. It was so light that at times it didn’t always stay upright—the pull of the hose flipped it around. That didn’t impact its performance—just annoying. Sound: I wish it were just a little more quiet, and sometimes I couldn’t figure out why it was quieter at times than others. It also made a very faint “squeal” on inhalation, but if your hose is long enough you can get the unit far enough away from you to not hear it; I just usually placed the unit on the floor. Finally, the description said that it worked with my existing resmed nasal mask but didn’t make it clear that I would need to also order a hose adapter to use it. That almost prevented me from using the machine on our 24-day trip because I hadn’t tried the connection beforehand. I was sent one in time but I had to pay for overnight shipping. BOTTOM LINE: an effective and ultra-lightweight travel CPAP machine that performs great and eliminates the need for a separate larger and heavier CPAP travel bag.
