I absolutely love it. It's not perfect, but it's close. Layout and buttons are great, battery time is great, the focus in the eye piece is a godsend, so I don't have to wear glasses while using it. The wifi connection for downloading video and pics is almost seamless, although my android doesnt recognize the folder as something with videos and pics in it. (Had to go through the my files app to find it.) Kinda bummed at the fact theres no choice between mp4 and mov format, mov is a pain.. but in the scope of things, it's a mere minor annoyance. Lighting, it doesnt do anything at all in pitch dark, which I was prepared for and am happy with but it picked up the 3 tiny ir LEDs off my security camera and turned the image into almost daylight. Its brilliant. 100% recomend.

There is impossible to charge battery of instrument second time. Green light is blinking but display inside says that battery is not charged and is empty. So, this camera is for single use only!

I was hesitant to spend $600 on a SiOnyx...but when they went on sale for $400 I took a chance. I have purchased cheap night vision devices in the past and never been impressed or satisfied. They were very Gen 1 (or Gen 0) type systems. I wanted a device but was not going to spend thousands of dollars for a Gen 2/3/4 device. I have used some Gen 3 and Gen 4 devices at work and was shocked when I received my Aurora Sport. While the picture/view is not as crisp as PVS-14s or newer devices, I could not believe that I just paid $400 and got something nearly as good and in color! Unlike devices at work, I can also take photos or videos, switch between day/twilight/nighttime and I can increase my recording capability by purchasing a larger Micro SD card. Video is 720, not 1080 as I would have liked....but again, $400. Also, the SiOnxy app....you can stream what you see in your eyepiece to the app. I can go outside, be using my Sport and my kids can see what I see on the app. It also lets me leave the device on, pointed to the sky so I can see meteors, satellites, ISS and more while I am safely in my house. Now there are a few drawbacks. As I mentioned above, the image is not as crisp as other devices. I would have liked 1080 but maybe SiOnyx will address that with future models. Lastly, a lense cap for the front lense would be nice and more rubber for the rear eyepiece would be helpful. These are minor issues to me. If you need something more crisp and don't mind black/green vision, pay thousands more and get a Gen 3 or Gen 4. If you want color, the ability to record photos & video, stream to your phone and only want to pay $400, then I highly recommend a SiOnyx product. I might buy another one!
