Simply MovingReviews of simplymovingny.com

The entire crew who moved us was fantastic. They were able to complete everything we asked (collecting things from two different locations) faster than we had even hoped and even changed the position of some of the furniture after they had it in place with no complaints. They took great care with our things and were very friendly, asking important questions when our instructions were not clear. I would most definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a moving company in the tri-state area.

Movers were on time, wrapped everything thoroughly, were very nice, trustworthy, set everything up in destination, cleaned up, professional, perfect.

The move into NYC from CT went very smoothly! The men lead by Mitch, Edwin & David were amazing- quick, cordial, responsible, safe with our stuff. We'd use them again!

I thought the movers were very professional and respectful. They were on time and had a positive attitude. Unfortunately, they only helped for 1.5-2 hours of my move because the items they were to move didn't take that long since my move was only a move within my same building. They said they would have to charge me extra to help move other items and that I should have elected to charge by the hour. Charging by the hour would have saved me a lot of money. I think in the future, the company should have an option to charge by item and have a minimum time limit of when they movers will help you. I was also disappointed that only two guys showed up instead of 3 guys as I was initially told. I ended up not needing the 3rd person, but I felt like I paid for 3 people. Ultimately, I felt like I paid a lot more than for what I actually got in service. It ended up taking me a lot longer to pack and move than I wanted because I ended up having to pack, move and unpack myself because I was told by the crew that they were going to charge me more for the additional work (which had I just paid by the hour, the crew said they would have continued to help me move). Unfortunately, I would not use Simply Moving again unless the service changed so that there was a move package that gave a minimum amount of time to help move regardless of the number of items on the move list. Lastly, there was wall damage during the move caused by the movers. They said the company would pay for the damage, so we'll see how much out of my security deposit will come out for this damage.

I have absolutely no complaints and only good things to say about this moving company. Everyone I spoke with when I called to set up the appointment was extremely friendly and accommodating. Marcus was particularly helpful. On the day of the move the movers were on time, friendly, professional, extremely careful with our items, and efficient. I have moved two other times in the past few years and used Flat Rate moving. This company is by far much better in every aspect, including price. The price is fixed and there are no hidden fees. I regret not using them in the past and will definitely use them in the future.

Securing price and date of service: I started my search for good movers on Yelp by reaching out to many companies (probably 10 of them). Simply Moving was part of the companies that responded to me in less than 30 mins. I sent a couple of pictures, discussed my needs and in less than an hour a price at the lowest end of the ones I received was secured for me. We then secured a date and time. Proof of insurance: I was moving from and to a building that requires movers to have insurance and prove it to management office before allowing any move. Once I connected the company to the management offices they took it from there quickly and I had nothing to do afterwards; move was set immediately. Move: three men came to my place. They reconfirmed arrival time 30 mins prior to move and arrived on time. The move itself was smooth and the movers were organized, prepared to box all types of items, and definitely spent time and put effort to secure items... I gave 20% tip to each member of the move and the movers seemed happy. Overall, it was a painless experience

Professional all the way! Glad we engaged your firm!!!!!!

Scheduling was a breeze. The movers were cordial, communicative, and careful. 5 stars.
