Designer eyeglasses for half the price...a no brainer!
I bought the exact same designer frames with progressive lenses and all the bells and whistles for half the price of the local optical shops. SimplyEteglasses was user friendly online and over the phone. It did take a while to get my glasses, three-plus weeks, but they were worth the wait. Very pleased and satisfied!

Your order was placed on July 27th after closing time. Your order process started on July 28th and shipped August 11th. As you may know, prescription lens orders can take up to seven to ten business days as stated on our website. Since your order time was ten business days we sent your package to you priority mail instead of ground service, where you received it on August 13th.

Best Price, but you need to know a few things before ordering
I wanted a pair of lightweight, flex titanium frames with Drivewear lenses at a good price. Very few online eyeglass vendors sell Drivewear, so I chose SimplyEyeglasses for that reason. I love my new glasses and the price was much cheaper than my local eye doctor would charge.
Here's the issues you need to be aware of, and if you are comfortable with this you can get great glasses on the cheap:
1. The photos on the website may not match what you are actually ordering. You need to make sure you verify the part number with the frame manufacturer's website that the photo is correct. If not, you could be in for a surprise. Forewarned is forearmed.
2. Longer time to deliver - once you order, SE goes out and then buys your frame. So the order to fulfillment cycle is slower. You have time from frame mfg to SE, SE then making your lenses (you can't start making lenses until you have the frame, then time from SE to you. This is about 3 weeks time. Here's the rub - in my case, the frame I ordered wasn't available, but I didn't know this until after I placed my order. So I lost another week in back and forths with SE in order to get a different frame ordered. SE is probably not the only online retailer doing this, but good to know.
3. Not a lot of feedback once you place your order. The website doesn't update you on the status of your order. Given the 3 week lead time, this can make you feel like your order is in a "black hole".
I'd still probably order from them again as they have a great price relative to other sites, just be prepared to wait a bit.

We order all frames directly from the manufacturer to ensure authenticity. This allows us to offer frames at a lower cost to our customers. We have over 60,000 frames on our site. The frame manufacturer's provide us with images. It is rare for a model number and image not to match but on very rare occasions this does happen. We do verify model number, color and size on the actual frame to the order placed by our customer. Unfortunately, frames are part of the fashion industry and are sometimes discontinued or placed on back order. We do notify the customer within 1-2 business days upon receipt of the order. Some manufacturer's take longer to be received than others.
Your order was placed on July 1st after our order processing time. Your order process started on July 2nd and was shipped on July 17th with priority shipping instead of ground shipping. If you take into consideration the holiday and four weekend days, your order was processed and shipped in ten business days.
As you know, you ordered special Drivewear lenses with a high prescription. Some prescription and frame combinations take longer to process than others. We ask for seven to ten business days to complete prescription orders.
We hope that you will place another order with us in the future and if you are in a hurry we will do everything in our power to expedite your order as we would for any customer.

Best Eyeglasses
I am so pleased with my glasses! The customer service that I received was fantastic. The lenses that I selected would not work with my prescription, so I got a call from SimplyEyeglasses about the problem that I would have had the eyeglasses been made. I was able to get the correct type of lenses put in and received them about 8 days later. I have had to have minor adjustments like tightening the "arms" because they were loose, but other than that NO PROBLEMS. Have recommended SimplyEyeglasses to family and friends. Will order again from them.

Great priced frames

Ordered my frames (not really trusting that I would get the exact frames I had seen in my hometown hospital's eye wear clinic) but wanted to save $50 so decided to go for it. They came in about 10 days. I wished it would have been quicker, but was just anxious to get my new glasses. It really was a reasonable time and they actually WERE the same as I had seen in my clinic!. Got my glasses made and have had many compliments on them. Love them, and would order from Simply Eyeglasses again with no worries.

It would be next to impossible offer both a large selection and stock those thousands of frames. Thus the manufacturer ships to us then we ship to the customer.
