I really wanted to like these pens and support a smaller business, but after only about a week of use, I’ve had a very disappointing experience. The pens constantly loosen and unscrew during normal use, ink gets all over my hands even when I’m careful, and the finish/paint scratched off almost immediately. I also thought the caps were screw-on, but they are pull caps, which made me nervous for pocket carry from the start. Today the pen leaked ink into my pocket, destroying my favorite shorts, which pushed me over the edge. A fountain pen should not be leaking this badly at all. Customer support has also been frustrating. The company says they aim to respond within 24 hours, but they typically take a bit longer than that. I reached out this morning about a refund and haven't heard back yet but hopefully I don’t have to spend even more money on return shipping for pens that already caused these many issues. Unfortunately, this experience has made me decide I’ll be buying pens elsewhere in the future and will not be trying these again.

I have purchased two fountain pens from Simplpens and i’m about to purchase a third italic pen from them. These pens are great value for money and write well. I can recommend this company and their speedy dispatch.

I purchased a V2 pen. It arrived quickly but I kept having trouble getting it to write. Customer Service helped me with some things to try to fix it, but they didn't work. I was expecting a new nib, but the sent me a whole new pen! The new one writes beautifully out of the box. I highly recommend these pens, not just for their beautiful construction and smooth writing but also for the team that stands behind the work.

Worst pens in the world. I have THREE pens. They have sent me a new one when the one I received didn't work None of them work. I have just received the new "upgraded" version after waiting months and impossible to get the ink to flow. Scratchy and stops working after a few lines. Bad luck? I don't think so, I think they lack a good quality control.

Here’s an edit in response to Simplpens comment that I get in touch. No surprises - these scammers never responded to my message because they still owe me a refund. Do yourself a favour and filter the reviews here to 1 star. See the pattern - every review left in the last 2 weeks in negative, bent, leaky crap pens. At least 20 People saying pen didn’t arrive. Everyone unhappy with this junk. Simplpens shipped pen, and sent confusing and contradictory shipping info. It missed the delivery date and the birthday it was intended for. Simplpens apologised, they had ‘technical difficulties’ but expected me to keep the pen, I repeated my request to return it for a refund but they persevered, requesting I try it out as they felt I’d love it! Here’s my feedback for the Ventura pen - it’s not worth £30. IMO They blew their budget on ‘high end’ marketing and should have saved some money for the pens build and quality. The aluminium feels thin and likely to ‘dint’. The ink converter is lowest quality. The screw thread on the barrel is a little offline and this mean the pen isn’t perfectly straight. I found an Australian review on you tube that said exactly the same, suggesting their quality control is absent. The packaging is cheap. The logo in white in the centre makes the pen look cheap. So I’m returning the pen, and Simplpens are making me pay insured tracked international post to the US, so I’m $10 out of pocket for a pen, I really don’t want and arrived too late because of their admitted technical issues. I suggest readers of this review also check out other independent YouTube reviews.

I ordered two Ventura pen. One medium nib and one fine nib. Right out of the box they looked gorgeous. The medium I filled up with ink directly then wrote and drew with it. It was sublime. The fine nib I had noticed was out of alignment from the feed on the underside. The wonderful support staff helped me get this sorted out in no time and now I have both pens working amazingly. Love, love, love these pens. Will definitely be getting some more. Next I'll try the Ventura II with clip. Thanks to the wonderful quality and support I am incredibly satisfied.
