Been with them 8 years and I now loathe them. Went from being decent to the worst phone company in the world. Everything takes hours and then doesn't work. Mobile app does not work. Uploading more data required several calls and multiple hours. New phone sent me could not get service without more than 12 phone calls. They are an absolute horror show

On Sept 22, I initiated a Trade-In with Simple Mobile which was confirmed by an email that I received congratulating me and outlining the process while also referencing Trade-in Reference Number: 20092222000006. In this email I was instructed to wait up to 7 days to receive a trade-in "kit" with the shipping supplies and pre-paid shipping label necessary to send in my phone. Upon receipt of my phone, I was warned that it could take up to a maximum of 4 weeks to receive my payment in the form of a gift card or check. I followed all of the instructions perfectly and on Oct 19, Simple Mobile received my iPhone 12 Pro Max 512GB trade-in phone (as per the attached USPS confirmation number 4203708699169202090260974200023322 from the shipping label they provided). At this point, I was supposed to get an email notifying me that they have received it and that my gift card is forthcoming but I received nothing. Upon many different attempts at resolving this via online chat and on the phone, I've been lied to more times that I can count. I was given incorrect reference numbers, I was forwarded to wrong departments, and I was disconnected prematurely. At one point, I spent over an hour on the phone with Regine who was supposed to be a manager in the "Corporate Office" but who flat-out lied to me saying that Simple Mobile doesn't even have a Trade-In program, lol. Even after I walked her through step by step how to navigate their website to take her to the page that clearly says otherwise, she double-downed on her lie and insisted that they do not have that program. When asked about the email I received confirming they do, she suddenly got quiet but refused to even acknowledge it's existence, blaming it instead on a technical "system issue." I'm DONE with all the abuse, I simply can't take anymore. But the fact remains that I sent them a perfectly good phone, so they should either send it back or tell me when I can expect to receive my electronic gift card.

Trash. Pure trash. Changed our $37 UNLIMITED plan to a $55 4GB hotspot plan... then we call to fix it and they say we can't get a refund and they can't change the plan back until next due date which was a month away..? Do NOT use this service. Simply garbage.

I read other reviews and believe me it's completely accurate. In my case, I used to dread calling them because they were just so ignorant and completely untrained I don't know what third world dump they're working out of, but I tell you stay away! My situation was, that I got tired of their website not functioning properly. specifically you could not update or change credit cards. It would allow you to go through the motions but then come back with these crazy errors which were SQL database errors and opens them up to all kinds of liability if somebody understands SQL exploits. So after at least a year of this, I call customer support and I said I am sick of this why can't you guys fix your website? Oh we're working on it is the answer well you've been working on it for 2 years. I should not have to call and give some stranger out of a God forsaken Country and give my credit card number, expiration date and the three digit code on the back of my card to be updated manually and possibly used causing me to open fraud claims with my card company . You need to fix your website or I'm going to change providers thank you. Lady puts me on hold, saying one moment then the call drops Great she hung up on me wouldn't be the first time. I tried calling them back. No mobile service. Is the message I get try to couple more times no mobile service. Clearly what this lady had done was disable my SIM card out of revenge So, the first thing I do is I go down to the office in my apartment use their phone to call my credit card company and put a block on it and not just that but submitted a dispute to get a a full months of credit back since they disabled my service in mid month. Next, I get on with chat from my computer and speak to simple Mobile I say what happened did this lady disable my sim and the explanation was oh no we were bought by Verizon and we've changed towers and your sim will not work with the new tower. So it was just a huge coincidence that my SIM got disabled while on the phone with customer support threatening to cancel service? I'm like hold on partner. If what you're saying is true, then why wasn't I told in advance by text message or email that I need to replace or order a new sim? It makes absolutely no sense he had no answer other than I can offer you a free Sim which they would have done under normal circumstances not to mention the fact that in order to get a new sim, not to mention the amount of time I would not have a working phone and what happens when I get the new sim two or three weeks later if ever the phone still doesn't work because the number had been disabled? thank you goodbye. So I go to T-Mobile I own my own unlocked phone and I got a service paying $3 a month more with three times as much data so I went from 2 gigabytes to 6.5 GB for $3 a month more. Next, I wanted to Port out my old number which is a normal thing to do although I wasn't 100% sure based on all the spam and scam calls I get especially being an IT contractor and being annoyed by overseas temp recruiters calling on a daily basis leaving messages for jobs I'm not remotely qualified for. So I call Simple mobile back and they give me the number to the porting group and the PIN to log in and I conference T-Mobile in and simple Mobile says there's an issue with the number so I have to open a ticket and escalate What's the issue? I can't really explain it I don't see what's going on. Call back in 24 hours. So we call back in 24 hours, and they told me that my old number is not eligible for porting out. Why the hell not? How can you legally hold it? I got vague evasive answers in broken english. In other words they didn't want to tell me and I said that's okay I'll just serve simple Mobile legal papers you guys are completely incompetent then I say T-Mobile thank you for your efforts you can close the ticket I'm probably better off with a new number my phone is quiet. Less than 2 weeks later, I walk into Petco to buy my cat food. Upon checkout I'll ask how to update my rewards card phone number. The helpful associate says I can do it, what's your old number so I tell him 919-638-9137 Which turned out to now be assigned to some other lady! I started to crack up because that's why these simpletons couldn't release the number to T-mobile. They disabled my SIM and then recycled the number to someone else. She's in for a rude awakening if she ever needs support from simple mobile, but she will also be inundated with Spam and scam calls. Hahaha! Not just from recruiters but from all these scams that generally are running out of India. there was a whole bunch of them. Even when you block the number, they call you back on a new number the next day. If you're wondering why went with them, I had no choice. Back in 2018, I was locked out of iCloud account and apple would not release for 30 days.

Please 🙏 do not waste your time and hard earned on this F--ked up phone company. Been hung up several times after asking to speak to manager. And yes your account number what is stupid is your imei number if your phone runs out of minutes you can't transfer it without a phone plan on the specified number after getting the minimum 25$ plan to get number tranfered the wait time to get an email was 24-48hours.. when we called back to find out if it was unlocked, the time Miraculously went up to 72 hour wait... conviently when we asked to speak to the manager the Indian on the phone hung up on us. Had the issue with 2 phone numbers. If you want simple mobile (a nightmare) get it and have fun.. LMFAO YOUVE BEEN WARNED
