If I could score this site 0 I would. Do NOT waste your money. Once signed up they will automatically renew your membership without informing you your current subscription is about to end. About the site.. don’t bother putting in your preferences as they are totally ignored, or rather due to lack of members all contacts are either to tall, too short, too old/young, not to mention generally over 50 miles away! I don’t believe all ‘matches’ offered are legitimate but made up to appear site is as good as others. Total waste of money, site way more expensive than others which is why I signed up thinking matches would be more selective… Quite the opposite!

There is a man who claims he is Ray Hanna, Caldenan from Troy, Mi, who now lives in Tampa, FL. He is a total liar and wants women financial information. Run don’t walk! Authorities are aware of same!

This is the worst dating site I have ever experienced. I received so many matches from men living over 100 miles away, plus fake people out to scam you, and matches that in no way came close to my profile. Out of the blue, Silver Singles required me to sign in with my email and password and now they will not accept either one. I have not been able to access my account for several weeks, nor been able to contact them by phone. Go elsewhere. This site is like entering the Twilight Zone with no way to get out of it and a lot of lost money to boot.

Psychological torture chamber, zero decent responses with lots of catfishers chiming in. Save your money and sanity.

I joined this site believing they would provide me with suitable matches. How wrong I was. Their algorithms are fabricated rubbish and certainly don't meet my criteria. Despite setting age preferences I am daily bombarded with profiles totally out of sync with my criteria. I have wasted over £100 on a sub standard service and do not recommend Silver Singles to anyone.

I've been on this site for 3 months. Many fake profiles and bots, as usual. Some profiles are real, though. I can vouch for that. The exhaustive profile questionnaire is a joke: you're offered whoever anyway, and from wherever. You get 20 "new" matches a day, most of whom live well beyond 50 miles from you. The limited number of daily matches means that you don't get pestered to pay for increased-exposure upgrades, but then again, you can't keep coming up with 20 new profiles a day without inventing some of them. Final word: somebody or something will actively attempt to scam you from time to time. You'll know them right away because they look younger than fifty and they'll be chatty and interested. Silver Singles does a decent job finding them out (but you will first if you can see through the flattery). There is also a scam running in which a person who has found success wants to refer you to their tall, shy friend who expressed in interest in meeting you (email address tantalizingly dangled). This goes out to men and women and it's sloppy and obvious. Men don't want tall chicks. They want 'em on the short side and curvy as boiled spaghetti.

Don't waste your money or your time. I was hacked over the weekend and my account was deleted without my knowledge. Customer service only works Monday through Friday so I phoned this morning to inform SS of this fraudulent activity and they told me sorry, the site is not secure! If someone hacks in and deletes all of my information, profile and messages, it's gone forever, and SS does not bother to confirm with the actual customer that they wish to have their account deleted. They just inform the customer of the deletion. It's not secure and my account can be hacked into by anyone at anytime and they don't make an effort to verify account deletion with the actual customer! What an unprofessional and non-customer oriented joke of a so called dating service!
