It didn't take long for me to realize Silver Singles wasn't worth my time or my money. I bought a six-month membership and after my third day, I didn't like it, but I decided to give it a fair chance, so I waited until my ninth day to cancel. The customer service rep told me I had only three days to cancel and be refunded. I said, that's reasonable for a thirty-day membership, but I paid for a 180-day membership, so I should have 18 days to cancel. Silver Singles is located in Germany, and they refused to be reasonable. I wasted almost $100 on a nine-day site. I took a chance and lost miserably, I truly hated that dating site!

I requested a change in my personal information and the request was taken care of almost immediately.

This website is not even worth 1 star; Trustpilot should have a poop icon for businesses that are not worth the weight of poop they offer! You can not even respond with a simple message to ANYONE; not even customer service will allow you to send a message. You have to jump through all sorts of hoops. I should know better than not to do a full search review on this company and website. I am still trying to get a full refund. Oh yes, they all love you to pay them, but they do not want to give anything back. STAY AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE—IT'S A RIP-OFF!!!!!

Been on the site for just over a month and have had more contact with men who are definite scammers. Many of the others are just creepy. And it seems their algorithm is broken. More contact with people thousands of kms away than local. Don't join it. Avoid this site. You're wasting your money.

So many profiles send me a smile and that’s it I’ve only had one that wrote back and never heard from him again ,now I havnt heard a word from anyone I’ve replied to about 50 males no one gets back to me it becomes boring waiting ,I delete them after waiting so long

I am so angry. When my prepaid three months is up I will NEVER renew. I put in 50 mile radius as that is the least I can do. It is sending my matches from hundreds/thousands of miles away. Completely sucks. What a major rip off. I am sure it makes their algorithms look better but I am feeling scammed and ripped off. Never ever again. I was just lonely and wanted to make friends. yeah right. If I want to drive three days.

I subscribed to Silver singles last year and I have to say it has not been a successful experience. I share the experiences of others in terms of limited local contacts, mismatches etc. At the end of my subscription I intended to cancel it. My main issue is with what happens at the end of the subscription period. The following is a copy of a message I sent to Silversingles about this: My problem has come about through the companies failure to give me appropriate notice of your intention to activate automatic renewal of my subscription. They know, I am sure that this is contrary to the advice given to business on this issue by the UK government. This government document on Subscriptions states that it is unfair on customers to fail to give this notice and also can lead to reputation damage to the business – which most people would think the company wishes to avoid I have always been a little suspicious of automatic renewal, however I did check the terms and conditions and thought that point 12.1 gave me the right to withdraw within 14 days. It is a pattern of behaviour that is common to businesses that behave like yours to make conditions very lengthy and difficult to access. Yes point 13 puts a different perspective on things but you know and I know that people do not even get to point 12 let alone 13. The sum of money concerned here, over £200 is considerable for many people. As you know the clients here are silver singles. Most will have lost partners through divorce or death and will find their incomes reduced. They are trying to rebuild their lives. So I think what I have written so far is accurate. Your company through failing to follow issued guidelines on this matter and through their complicated terms and conditions seem intent on taking money off vulnerable people. I would very much like you to tell me if you have legitimate grounds for disagreement on the facts I have put to you. Simply saying that these are the terms and conditions in this situation would both be both pathetic and immoral. Well I did get a standard letter from the company saying that these are the terms and conditions and that they are not breaking the law. There was no attempt to disagree with the points I made. I hope that people reading this review will think that it is unwise to put business in the direction of a company that thinks money grabbing in this way is ok because it is not illegal, and shows no understanding of ethics or customer care or even the reputation of their brand.
