Many of the Goodwill Stores on their online shopping site overcharge on shipping. For example, the store located in Pasco, WA has many such items where the shipping is vastly inflated. One item I was interested in was said to weigh just under 4 lbs, but the total shipping weight was said to be 42 lbs, making the shipping cost well over $50. When I reached out to the store to see if this was a mistake on the listing, they made it clear that it was not. As an eBay seller, I'm well aware of what it costs to ship things, and this is clearly a scam, unless they're using a 38 lb box to ship a 4 lb item, which is doubtful. It seems this is a very common practice on their website. I would suggest that buyers be cautious of such scams and always check the shipping before bidding.

Buyer beware. They do not fully disclose items that are broken or ripped. They want you to rely on fuzzy photos that show nothing. Very untrustworthy. I have received several items that were useless because of broken zippers or tears.

BUYER BEWARE....I bid on several items. I have no complaints about the bidding process. I won the items I wanted for reasonable price which were hardcover books, however, my opinion is shipping is over priced AND POORLY ORGANIZED. So if they're going to over charge for shipping you would think that you would get the service you pay for. Not the case. The process is very deceiving. You get an email saying you won the bid and make your payment.... great! I immediately paid my invoice. You get an email saying your invoice was PAID (credit card is charged) and your item will be shipped...great! But it seems once you've paid for your item the break up in communication begins. I did receive emails from Fedx for my item saying my shipment is on its way. I'm actually supposed to be receiving it today (four days later which would be great.) Not happening. According to FedX my shipment label was created by Goodwill but Goodwill does not have it ready for shipment so Goodwill in Jacksonville Florida has made no effort to get my package out of their warehouse, yet they have taken my money. Total cost for one used hard cover book... $21. I sent a message to them two days ago and still no response. You think you're doing a good thing by buying from an organization like GOODWILL... but there is no good will with this company. I'll stick to getting my used books from Amazon for under $10.00 and immediate delivery. Take notice that Goodwill has no review section on there website. That alone says BUYER BEWARE!
