Typically our orders received are as expected. However, occasionally we receive the wrong stuff or damaged goods. After contacting the sending location, it is typically corrected. But I recently had a deliberately deceptive order which makes me pause any more purchasing. I won a bid for four records. Three came scratched so bad that they are unplayable. I contacted the Tacoma store and got the too bad, so sad story. I told them the pictures did not show the scratches and they didn't care. Case closed. No more Shopgoodwill for me.

Goodwill shop online are extortionists.. they over price their items refuse refund or store credit when their items are broken or damaged. I contacted them several times about the leaptv and all they said was the price is set no refunds or store credit then when I said they are extorting kid/baby items rep then said the case is closed. They should be shut down. America is not to be ran with extortionists especially over baby toys.

Full disclosure: over the last ten years i have purchased/won items totally Tens ofThousands. When i first started on rhe website it was pretty good however over time things have gotten much worse. As others have stated there does seem like there might be shill bidding in some instances, w I th specific listing stores being the culprits. S&h specifically their handling fees have escalated tremendously from an organization that n doubt gets very preferred shipping discoints and has zero cost basis for the goods sold and cheap labor. The most recent problem has been, again as others have commented, missing pieces/ items from packages received. When you point out the photographs clearly show "x" they offer no explanation as to what happened to it. Also packing for items has really become hit or miss. Sometimes theyll use what seems like a whole roll of tape on one package. Other times they just use "green" packing materials for fragile valuable items i.e. crumpled brown kraft paper instead of bubblewrap. Nothing like gettimg a vintage item in its original box that was perfect covered in clear packing tape. In summary for years it was a good deal with only minor hiccups now and then . Now at least 40% of won items have an issue- and usually cost 80 to 90 percent of fair market value. Therefore been buying less and less and going to most storefront locations rarely concludes with a real find.

I won an auction on 4 binders with cards . They were all numbered and in order to. It’s funny that only the valuable cards were gone from each binder . They go thru the cards and take all the good ones out to keep them or sell them in another auction . In the description it says “untouched and sold as it was donated . I call bs on that .

Lost my trust. They fail 9 out of 10 times to disclose with a simple image that shows significant damage to items and then just passing it off with a generic "Item is used and is subject to small imperfections not visible in pictures. -Has Wearing-Dust Due To Storage-Needs cleaning-scuffs-scratches-dirt" on every listing to get away with not disclosing anything more. For example: I bought one auction that had 3 plushies in the listing. Several images shown, however, they failed to share an image of the bottom of the plush that show SHARPIE writings! How dense and rude can shopgoodwills team be by not disclosing that?? This is not just "small imperfection". They should be held accountable for falsifying and selling damaged goods without disclosing so. Secondly I bought a typewriter, after picking up, its missing an entire closure latch! No images to disclose this and again, they only leave that generic description and dont disclose anything important one should know about significant damages that sometimes makes the item unusable/unsellable. Essentially, they scam buyers.
