Easy to track orders but needs to improve in fulfilling the correct items for shipping and on-time shipping.

ShipMonk is where cutting-edge technology meets world-class fulfillment, all guided by our "merchant-first" core value. This allows us to enable high-volume, scaling DTC brands to stress less and grow more. We shipped millions of packages in 2024, fueled by our 2,300-strong team and proprietary technology that gives merchants a unified view of their inventory, orders, and shipping across all sales channels. With strategically located fulfillment centers across the globe, dedicated "mom & pop" support at a global scale, and refreshingly transparent pricing, it's no wonder we've earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 for seven years running. Overall a good company. I've used other 3PL solutions in the past, and so far, ShiMonk has been the best. They are not perfect in my opinion, they have strengths and weaknesses. To me, their strengths are in the efficiency/speed to ship the orders, in the Customer service and software side of things. You always receive a reply from a happiness engineer really fast, and they are very polite and kind people, which makes the experience great. I also had to talk with my account manager to negotiate some prices, and he was super kind and open to discuss the prices, to keep us as a customer. The software/dashboard is good, with a lot of insights, nice UX, and it's easy to use and understand what's happening, even if you have lots of orders and SKUs. Now, to the weak points. Fulfillment errors are not so uncommon as you'd like, at least in my experience. I thought they were happening because it was Q4, near the Holidays, but they kept happening when entering January and also February. The good part is that they refund you for those mistakes after you fill a claim, but this could happen much less in my opinion, because it definitely hurts your brand image if it happens too much (nobody likes receiving wrong orders). Another thing I don't like is the way they charge you for some things like Storage. It's confusing, and not transparent in my opinion. For example, my product is small, and is stocked in few units (most of the times less than 1000 units). It could theoretically fit their smallest bin for each SKU, however, I also pay for storage space for other bigger storage places. I remember asking about this some time ago, but I did not get a satisfactory explanation and I still don't understand why I have to pay for the bigger storage spaces if my product could easily fit in their smaller/cheapest storage unit. Other than that, everything is good. I would love it if they could solve those points, would easily earn a 5 star instead of 4. If you are on the fence, I think you should at least give them a try, overall it has been a good service to us.

We have been working with ShipMonk for over a year and overall they have done a decent job in handling our merchandise. In the beginning we had some hiccups and then things improved as we moved along. They have been quick to create solutions for problems that we have encountered. We use their service mostly to fulfill our wholesale B2B order to major retail companies such as CVS, Walmart, and Target. We continuously send them containers directly from our factory. Outsourcing the work has helped us focus on what matters the most and that is selling.

We've been using Shipmonk (and their associated Shopify app) for more than a year now. The onboarding process is fairly easy and they help you connect your store to their fulfillment center, and map the SKUs to their internal inventory codes. You can also do it yourself manually if you create product bundles, for instance, or they will do it for you if you have a lot of them, just by sending them a CSV. From that moment on, Shipmonk automatically captures the orders from Shopify, processes them, and then inserts the tracking number once the order has been fulfilled. So all in all, it is a very straightforward process and the only work you need to do is check their interface daily to verify no orders are "stuck" because the buyer entered an incorret address, or you have run out of stock of any item (which you shouldn't, as they provide a forecast on how many days of inventory you have left at the current sales rate. All in all, very satisfied with their service and the timely delivery of the orders to my customers.
