I was so grateful to be able to easily avoid going to busy local urgent care, where I would be waiting for hours to be seen and have to fill out insurance forms, etc, not to mention all the layers of data they collect and people you have to see before the doctor even comes in. I knew I had a sinus infection based on extensive history and jumping through all those hoops; well I just didn't have the bandwidth for that. I was able to book with the hour with a really kind and professional provider who listened to me and, more importantly, believed me. She was able to confirm my infection and prescribe what I needed. The cost was a little more than my copay, but totally worth the difference in the amount of hassle I did not have to experience. I can print out a summary of my appointment to put in my local medical chart. I also appreciate that even though I am medicare age, I was not discriminated against in terms of being able to be seen. I had tried a couple of other platforms and due to being over 65, they would not see me. I got to say, that feels really wrong. I like being able to be more in charge of my own healthcare.
