Good selection, fast shipping
My local supply of Acacia honey dried up, and a Google search led me to Sensibus. The honey was delivered promptly. Browsing their offerings was a gastronomical experience. What a wonderful site.

No friction but not as expected
The panforte comes as already-cut pieces, not whole wheels. The pieces are wrapped in plastic and likely will not keep as well as the wheels. This is not made clear on the product page.

Dear Customer We're sorry you were unsatisfied with your recent order of Panforte. As we mentioned on the website, we cut our Panforte to order from larger wheels. This format tends to preserve the product better than small, individual versions, which tend to dry out and become stale more quickly. In addition, we find that the thicker cuts of panforte showcase the ingredients, flavors, and textures of the traditional panforte found in Tuscany's finest pastry shops. Poor quality truffles.
On November 28, 2016 I ordered and received black truffles from Sensibus. and was deeply disappointed. The truffles I received were stale, had no aroma, and no taste.

Dear Customer We receive fresh truffles each Monday from our supplier. Each is checked for quality and freshness prior to being shipped. Your order was was shipped the same day we received the truffles(11.28.2016) so we can guarantee that they were fresh. The Burgundy variety of truffle is not as pungent as either Perigord truffles or white truffles and need a little more coaxing to maximize their flavor. Tasteless Truffles
I ordered truffles in a jar. Should have known better. The truffles tasted like nothing. Better off using truffle oil. Extremely inferior product with misleading discription. 2 stars for prompt delivery.

Dear Customer, We're sorry you were unsatisfied with your purchase. We agree that jarred truffles will never have the same impact as fresh. However fresh truffles aren't always an option. We feel that La Rustichella jarred truffles are among the best preserved truffles available. Some presentations call for visible slices of truffle to be evident and we feel that these do the trick. However if you're looking for a big truffle aroma and flavor we'd suggest try either truffle oil or, if it's a special occasion, springing for fresh truffles.

Great Panforte, great value
Finally, we found real panforte just like in Siena, Italy. Large slice, cut from a big wheel just like in Italy. Far, far better than the boxed offering on Amazon or Ebay. Price was fair and the service, shipping good. Website easy to navigate. In all, an excellent shopping experience. Next, need to explore the website for other items!

Saved Thanksgiving
I just moved to the Phoenix area from California and was getting my thanksgiving menu ready for the big day and realized there was no place within a 50+ mile radius where I could buy the required truffle cheese for my Tuscany mashed potatoes, and I had to have it! This was on Tuesday before thanksgiving, so I went online and found Sensibus, and sure enough they had what I needed and could get it to me by 6pm the next day at a very reasonable price, I might add. I ordered and put the success of my meal within their hands, but by 10am the next morning (Wednesday), I was ready for thanksgiving and my dinner was a great success! Thank you for saving thanksgiving this year. I will be getting all my cheeses through Sensibus from now till eternity!
