Public Warning
Public Warning: Ongoing Refund Failure — July 17th, 2026 We arrived in Mauritius after 11 hours of travelling, only to be told — on arrival — that our booked Airbnb apartment “wasn’t available.” No explanation, no alternative in the local area, nothing. We had a 2‑year‑old with us and had already driven two hours from the airport. After pushing them, they eventually offered another apartment. They even tried to charge us more at first. Only after challenging them did they agree to match the original price, and we were forced to pay via SumUp on the spot. The replacement property was completely unsuitable: remote, second floor, off‑road access, no shops, no restaurants, and nowhere safe or practical for a toddler. We told them immediately we couldn’t stay. They agreed to refund us. That was now 3 months ago. Since then, despite repeated messages, all we’ve had is stalling, vague apologies, and zero clarity on when we’ll get our money back. After the stress they caused, you’d expect them to prioritise the refund — instead, we’ve been strung along. It is now July 17th, 2026, and we still have not received our refund. Do not pay upfront with this company. They have shown they cannot be trusted to do the right thing.
