SDC was extremely professional and made the all process much simpler than I expected. Very fast response and they linked with an excellent partner in Europe that manage every detail flawlessly.

Great communication throughout, and everything arrived safely as planned. You just need to be patient and know it may take awhile, depending on the country you're living in. Friends here in Peru had nightmares getting their stuff shipped here, so I chose this company very carefully. Glad I did!

I was perfectly satisfied with my shipment experience from California to Norway, which SDC co-ordinated with Schmidt Global Relocations in Europe. Everything went exactly according to plan, with no surprise extra costs (unlike my US domestic shipper) or delays. My goods arrived in perfect condition, and the moving people at both ends were good. The people at both the SDC and Schmidt offices were helpful, responsive and friendly. Even if SDC didn't quite give the lowest quote (although it was close), considering what can happen I'm glad I used such a reputable firm.

SDC International are an awful company, they held my items to ransom after I agreed to a cost. They increased the final cost by over a thousand dollars. The crew had failed to show 1st time due to over scheduling on their part. The 2nd time due to truck drivers incompetence and despite me trying to show him truck access refused to pick up. (I sent video and pics of proof of other truck access) - 3rd time I had to watch the crew like a hawk as they were putting my personal belongs in the truck un-packed! I have had to take this to BBB (Better Business Bureau) Complaint ID#: 1089211 Business Name: SDC International, Inc. TrustPilot needs to follow this up too! (if they show fair complaints?) DO NOT USE SDC INTERNATIONAL FOR SHIPMENT @SDC Thanks for your reply to this post. Please contact me on the details you have. No response apart from now informing me of the following… This is a kind reminder that the following services are not included in your order for service and should any of these charges arise at destination, they will be billed to you directly by the agent: Terminal handling charge (THC) at destination, any port related fees or other local fees, Customs inspection, X-ray, customs penalties, quarantine, custom duties or taxes, GRI/VAT, container detention, roll over fees, storage and demurrages. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - HIDDEN CHARGES!!!

Spectacularly incompetent customer service. Poor internal communication. Inconsistent customer handling (they pass you from one department to another like a bag of groceries), each ruder and less customer focused than the one before. Completely failed to set our expectations or help us understand the process. Failed to provide us with critical scheduling options. Missed our deadlines by months. I pray that their packers were more expert than their office staff. Subsequent note: The shipment arrived intact. Nothing broken, (although a few nasty scratches on one table top). A generally acceptable packing job. I still haven't forgiven them for forcing us to camp in an empty house with no furniture, with elderly and disabled family members for weeks, but perhaps they are not irredeemable. As a result i have increased their star rating from 1 to 2.
