Absolutely horrible experience!!! They can lock your account at any time, and you won’t be able to access it. NOT RECOMMENDED!

TD Ameritrade had amazing customer service. Since the Schwab merge, I have had customer service issues. First, my accountant found a 1099 error. I had to go physically go back to the office 4 times to resolve the issue—they had made a secondary mistake when trying to fix the first one. Today I had a request to send a Proof of Funds letter by email. They said that was impossible to do within 24 hours. OK so I sat in the reception area and did it myself. I had further questions and the customer service was horrible. I will continue to do everything myself until I can get every penny out of there.

Not only very long wait times but no one takes responsibility/ownership of problems. And, when you complain they flag your account or close your accounts. Very nasty unless you stay under the radar and keep your mouth shut! The "advisors" in the local offices are not only poorly trained but rude. AVOID. Go to Vanguard or Etrade.

I opened a Charles Schwab brokerage account because they offer wire transfers. My online bank doesn’t offer wire transfers. So my account being a new account and I attempted to send a wire of a few thousand dollars to whom I have sent other wires to and has been no fraudulently activity so far, right away they deemed it fraudulent activity. Now they have confiscated my money. They won’t close my account and they won’t give me my money back either. So now, I’m out thousands of dollars. If there is any fraudulent activity going on, it committed by Charles Schwab.

A zero star would do if possible. They locked me out of my funded account without reasons, support are also not helpful, they kept mute to all my tickets.

They are great in not charging for ATM usage and in reimbursing charges that might result. However, I recently had to order a new card because mine had become demagnetized. Even though i have been a client for decades, they managed to spell my name incorrectly on the card they sent and provided misinformation about being able to use the old card until the new one was activated. This incompetence leads me to question their ability to manage my funds. after several days, I'm sill waiting to receive a new debit card with my correct name. In the meantime, thousands of miles away from home, I have no access to cash via ATM, cannot purchase food or gas. I'm not surprised that 76% give Schwab 1 star.

chatting is a complete waste of time. im locked out of my account. the schwab chatter simply spits out generic, wortless garbage then disconnects before a follow up question can be asked. some overaid waste of space at schwab actually gets paid to run their customer non service dept
