Scent DecantReviews of scentdecant.com

Completely inauthentic scents!!!! Do not waste your time or money. There are no refunds. I ordered five samples and they were all garbage. Smelled completely like rubbing alcohol! They were also all placed together in one small drawstring pouch, so even if they had smelled differently, there was no distinguishing the difference between them when they arrived.

Twice they sent me a shipment postage due, when I had paid for shipping. They said they have a no-refund policy. I refused both shipments.

I ordered two samples from ScentsGift, which were supposed to arrive in 2-3 days, but it took 18 days for them to be delivered. To make matters worse, the perfumes were diluted, with a strong alcohol smell and barely any lasting power. I compared them to my original bottles at home – no resemblance whatsoever. I tried contacting customer service multiple times, but received no response. Shipping fees? Still not refunded. If you’re looking for authentic samples or reliable service, look elsewhere. Here, you pay a lot for what feels like a “poisoned gift.”

Worst experience 0 Stars I didn't receive my shipment because I was at the hospital with my daughter and for some reason it was signature required. I contacted SD and they said they didn't create the shipment with signature required so it shouldn't have had it. But I would have to contact the postal service. I do mail and shipping and receiving for a large oil and gas company for 14 years now and know exactly how mail/packages work. If I create a shipment and it doesn't get to where it should, it's my responsibility to contact the shipping service not the recipient, because it was under my account. Shipping services wont and can't change a shipment if you don't provide account details, because then anyone can just redirect expensive packages to themselves, stealing merchandise, all the time. Now does that make sense?! They're just lazy or stupid, that's the only answer.

Good for getting small sample sizes to try different scents. However, do NOT buy full size bottles from them! I ordered a retail spray bottle and my invoice even showed the pretty little bottle. I was sent a refill bottle that doesn’t even spray! Customer service is horrible and had the nerve to tell me it’s the correct item when it’s clearly not. Going to have to end up sending it back and at my cost; the least they should do is refund my shipping cost as well since they basically are false advertising.

Scent Decant has the audacity to charge so much for these samples but give you absolute garbage atomizers. My entire order leaked, perfume in my mailbox, and even some samples came without a sprayer top! Absolutely insulting to charge so much and send your customers garbage. Their customer service was awful as well. They refuse to refund an order that basically went entirely to waste even with picture proof. So they charge premium prices, give you garbage product, and don't take accountability for defective items. These guys are terrible for the fragrance community and need to be shut down. Buy samples from another company, like NorCal or FragrancesLine. They will give you way better quality, same prices and better customer service.

I placed an order recently, not my first time placing one with scentdecant. Maybe my 3rd or 4th. This order I place recently was marked as delivered but was delivered to the wrong mailbox. I contacted scentdecant and they sent out a replacement package. During contacting them I wanted to make sure that the insurance was still available on the replacement package just in case it was once again delivered to the wrong mailbox. Was told by someone and I do have the reply email stating that it was still insured. Few days later I get a email saying it was delivered and to my surprise again. Nothing in my mailbox( My address has a multi unit mailbox. 1 big box with 20 small mail boxes for each unit. If that makes sense.) once again I contact scentdecant and is told that they don’t send out replacements for replacements and that I’m pretty much out of $170. Since I verified my address and it says delivered. That it’s my problem even though it was once again delivered to the wrong mailbox unit I’m assuming. Have the emails from them saying that it’s insurance. Emails quoted from the owner of scentdecant saying that they will not be fixing this problem.

I placed an order over three weeks ago for a full size bottle of perfume. It was apparently not in stock so I just sent another email regarding order status. So far I'm thoroughly unimpressed and will be moving to do a charge back if I don't get a satisfactory response. Do better.
