I ordered 3 fish and a pack of snails. The fish came packed in such little amount of water that they were barely covered. After picking up package from FedEx, didn't wait for them to be delivered to the house, and followed the acclimation practice they recommended only one of three survived. The snails came bagged without water and they seemed to be fine.

Every time I've ordered from saltwater fish.com the order goes off without a hitch. Unfortunately, and probably due to the stress of travel, on a couple of occasions I've had a fish show up DOA, but the support team is quick to assist with a refund or replacement. I continue to order from them and would recommend the same to others.

Recently ordered some invertebrates from them. Some of the items failed inspection for shipping. They told me to choose another item to replace it. I selected another item and that also failed inspection. They do not split shipment like normal companies so either you wait 2 or more weeks for a new item to arrive to them and then maybe pass inspection or pick a new item or get a refund. I chose refund as I will not be buying from them again especially if 2 out of the 5 items did not pass inspection. They should be inspecting their organisms everyday to ensure proper sales or at the very least take the items off the website that do not pass. Worst online experience ever, even worse than some ebay sellers.

customer support is lacking, the ruby red dragonet only survived a few hours, when I contacted customer support she clearly did not read message before responding with unrelated information. since the ruby red was a substitution for the pistol shrimp I had ordered for my wife I did not press the issue after several messages back and forth. cost of both of them im sure would be less than shipping, so I will not be reordering. other than those issues the remaining corals and fish looked great and prices will be hard to beat
