I will preface this by saying I used to love going into their stores, but I think I'll have to find another option since their customer service is so bad now that we're forced to shop online. I ordered some products because the stores were closed temporarily for COVID-19.
They sent me most of the products I ordered, but instead of sending me the $12 hair smoother I ordered, I was sent a partially used sampler bottle of shampoo which was totally gross! So, whatever! I figured I'd call customer service and they would fix it. But every option you select for help cuts off the call, so apparently all they can do at Sally is take your money!
Pray that you get what you ordered if you do business with them now.

I love some of the products that Sally…
I love some of the products that Sally carry but the store as well as the staff cater to caucasian individuals first and African American last. I predominantly use to shop at Sallys because I desired quality over price, yes they are more expensive then most. I always spend $60-$100 each visit, at least once every 2 months. But I can't keep supporting a brand with the absolutely worse customer service!
On my last visit, my daughter and I was in line waiting and the cashier came from the back looked at us, a white lady walked up and she begin to ring her up, we said excuse me and she ignored us. We waited while the white lady continued to shop and get rung up and ask several questions. We decided to leave, and i didn't go back till recently, during the Coronavirus time.
The day before, I saw that you had to call first in order to buy stuff because the store was closed to customers, so I went home screen shot all the items I needed $50 worth, and come back the next day. When I got to the store today the lady opened the door to put the box outside for when people purchased items, I was at least 12 feet away, asking if I could order online and pick up in store, when she said speaking to me with the door open wasn't allowed, I said okay can she at least answer my question through the glass, she just kept saying(while talking through the open door) that she can't answer any questions, I have to call the number. I chose not to be disagreeable, she closed the door and turned her back to me.
Sallys staff has no customer service. The day before, when I came and found out about the purchasing through calling, this same lady was talking to a white lady through the door and window. Im no longer buying anything from Sallys, I spend too much money in this store to have to beg for decency.

Greed
I must say, I used to be employed by Sally Beauty, I had my issues with corporate for many reasons, but that's not what I want to complain about today.
I'm still in contact with former employees and friends that are still currently employed there, and I find it to be ABSOLUTELY despicable that, among this COVID-19 outbreak EVERY store in the plaza is closed except for the grocery store. But Sally's is open. Putting the safety of employees at risk for greed! They have abbreviated hours, because employees are dispensable. I have no regrets about leaving there, but I wish I hadn't hired such wonderful people as now they are all at risk.

When driving around
When driving around, I might see a Sally’s Beauty Supply and when I go in I know to go as far back into a corner to find what I need for African American hair. Sally must not know that we don’t have to go to the back anymore! I will never stop by one again, neither will anyone that I know!

Spent over 400$ in hair extensions
Spent over 400$ in hair extensions all lasted about 3-7 days when 50$ worth on amazon will last 4-6 months. Not going back for anything related to hair.

Bad attitude clerk hates her job.
Today Feb 17 took back products Crossing Center St. Petersburg Fl 33710 store1242 time 12:26 was third inline had product with ticket and product without. Clerk announced very loud I could not return without receipt. I pointed out I could back of receipt said so for store credit. She then barked at me you will have to wait till I check out the customers behind you, which was 4. She gave me gift card which was fine I never asked for money. After looking around I decided to use it up. Since I was going into hospital and didn’t want to forget I had it, went to counter with product I chose, she barked again you sure are causing me a lot of work today. Not sure why the bad attitude, she was cordial to everyone else. Just what I needed right before surgery. Will choose a different location next time

No more advice from Kayla the ion loving triple process hair masque fixes employee because the lady who just spent 60$on chemical products is about to go home and melt her hair and ask me to fix it
Please for the love of all that is the licensed professional stylists sanity STOP letting your uneducated, unlicensed and ION vivids over Basic white with 40 volume on scalp using employees give any kind of advice or recommendations on anything that contains a chemical! Or at least MAKE THEM advise customers that they are not licensed professionals and technically by law should not be giving any chemical service advice and on top of that post it through out the store. It amazes me cosmoprof is a part of your company because that's an OXYMORON if I've ever seen one!
