Very good walk-in tub. Installation was not done in the two days originally mentioned by the "In Home salesman / spokesman" due to installer's vehicle breakdown. Instead of 2 days, installation crew worked a Friday, Saturday and Monday. Other than that, installation was excellent and the tub works as advertised. I enjoy the soothing, bubbling water jets and the fact the seat and backrest are heated prior to tub fill. Although salesman / spokesman said he thought our 40 gallon electric water heater should be adequate to fill the tub with me in it, I have discovered that it requires at least a 50 gallon water heater or an "On Demand - Tank-less" water heater to fill the tub up adequately without waiting 15 additional minutes for my electric water heater to recover enough hot water to finish the job of filling up the tub. I will have a natural gas "Tank-less Water Heater" installed in order not to run low or out of hot water during the tub fill process.

I call to get information on Safe Step walk-in tub and I liked what I read and I call for someone to come to our home and go over all the information. My husband and I were very impressed with all the benefits we could receive from the health and safety issues of the tub. When we got to the bottom line: price: yes we were surprised at the cost. We talked it over and made the only choice for us. Benefits of health for a better life verses cost. We chose health. If we smoked (we do not) or we drank (we do not) which is very expensive depending on what or how bad you want it you will find a way. I have had both shoulders rebuilt and left knee so my body was in need of therapy the safe step walk in tub was perfect for my needs as both of us get older it is harder to step up into a regular bath tub and dangerous against slipping which I have done. No longer! It has been in the house almost 2 weeks before I could actually use it, I was waiting on stitches to heal before I was allowed to finally start using my tub. What a blessing it has been! No fear of falling and total relaxation. So if you think it is to expensive be willing to give up something of no importance for your health.

I was excited to get the tub but, there are a few kinks. Obviously, the water tank isn't big enough as we run out of hot water before it reaches the seat. Because the expense of the tub, we can't afford to get a bigger water heater and have to haul water from our other source. The seat does not allow for me to lean back and relax like the picture on tv shows. I do love the jets and lights and aromatherapy. My husband doesn't like not being able to shower.

Tub takes at least 20 minutes to fill. Do not like sitting there for that long waiting. Hot water runs out before tub fills completely and unable to get a completely warm bath. Unable to feel the benefits of this tub from my waist up. I have to come off seat and go down into foot area to get top half of body covered by water.

The sales representative gave honest and realistic information on cost. The installers were professional, experienced, and careful. They placed covers on my floors to protect the floors. I am very please with our new step in tub which makes bathing much safer for my husband who is at risk for falling.

Don't like having to manually hold drain open until water is over half empty Wish IT HAD A LITTLE MORE LEG ROOM

We think the tub is very nice. But the contractors did a poor installation job. They wanted us to sign a statement that we were "completely" satisfied. But we crossed out the word "completely" because we were barely satisfied. If you buy a Safe Step tub, have your own people install it because their contractors do very poor work.
