Just...disappointed
EDIT: After publishing this review, Run- chicken contacted me (in slovenian this time). I returned the broken door and they refunded me. Run chicken doors worked great...for a couple of days. I had constant issues with them not opening in the morning or not closing at night. Luckily I figured it out soon enough so I went to check if chickens were left out every morning so they wouldn't cook in the coop. And checked every evening if they are closed in so the fox wouldn't get them. I might as well just open amd close them manually. After trying to claim warranty, their customer service wanted me to send proof of malfunction for which I needed more cameras than I own. Speaking of customer service. This is Slovenian company, I am in Slovenia, tried to talk to them in slovenian and all I got from them were english replies and some offers in DOLLARS. Just thought that was a but strange. Anyway, about 6 months later they updated the app and things started to work, finally. Except when it was somewhat cold outside, the same problems reappeared and persisted until spring when it got warmer. About three weeks after warranty expired, the motor (?) module of the door just cracked open, deeming the door useless. I wrote to them again (in Slovenian), got some automated message in english about expired warranty (fair) and some more offers in dollars. For a product that cost 120€, I'd expect it to work flawlessly and have good customer service, though it's understandable that nothig works 100% of time, but this was a bit much. I really wanted to support fellow Slovenian's product, but all I got was disappointment. I ordered some Temu doors, they work fine and are much much cheaper and are probably manufactured in the same country as Run-chicken anyway.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're genuinely sorry to hear about the issues you've encountered and understand how frustrating this must have been, especially after choosing to support our product. We appreciate your detailed feedback regarding the door's operation, the app, and your interactions with our support team. This is certainly not the experience we aim to provide. We continuously work on improving both our products and customer service, and feedback like yours helps us identify areas where we need to do better. Regarding the language and currency, our support system and pricing are standardized across multiple markets, which is why some responses and offers may have been sent in English and displayed in USD. However, we understand why this felt unusual given that our headquarters are located in Slovenia. We're sorry that we weren't able to meet your expectations, and we truly appreciate that you gave our product a chance. We wish you and your flock all the best, and thank you again for sharing your honest feedback.
