Then, after a lot of customer feedback, we created the Model T40—a number-one seller on Amazon and RUN-CHICKEN’s website. This drove us to produce an even better product. With the help of our customers’ feedback and valuable information, we now present the new and improved Model T50. Along the journey of building and developing the RUN-CHICKEN brand, our team has grown into a team of many. We are all truly grateful for customers purchasing and using our products, and we hope that you will enjoy them for a long time. WE LOVE INNOVATION, WE LOVE IDEAS, AND WE LOVE YOU GROWING WITH US!

I don't have a review. I need to know how to use it in the water—what quantity should I use? And what amount in the food? Because that information isn't on your website.

Hi, if you are asking for our feeders, they are not waterproof. They can be outside but should be put under a covered area. Our GO Feeder can hold up to 17.6 lb of whole grain feed and our F80 Feeder holds up to 20 lb of feed. This information can also be found on our website. For further questions regarding our products, please contact our customer support at [email protected] and they will answer you.

I wanted to love this item
I wanted to love this item, and when I purchased it, about 4 months ago, it had WAY higher overall reviews. Which makes me think a lot were fake, paid for, or bots. This automatic door has been nothing but problematic since day 1. From the start I have had problems with it not closing or opening at its automated times, completely randomly. The door would open/close completely after I would check and then manually use the app to do so, but not long after restarting the door, deleting and re uploading the app, and reconnecting the door ( which solved this problem for a small amount of time), it has now begun to only PARTIALLY open and close. Anywhere from closing only 1 inch, to leaving 4 + inches open, all while reading on the app the door is CLOSED. Same goes for opening, the door will claim to be opened, and only be 1-3 inches open, leaving my poor girls LOCKED in their coop until I wake and check. And now, I can't even fix this by doing it manually on the app. The door now officially only opens/closes CENTIMETERS at a time when i manually click. On top of all of this, they have not been great to communicate with. They continue to instruct me to do long, manual resets, where I take the batteries out, delete the app, restart the door, take the door OFF the coop, literally every possible reset/restart/ remove/ remount ect. I have communicated to them I have done all of this, multiple times and they just keep emailing me back slightly different versions of MORE ways to do the same resets/restarts. This company sucks and there product cannot be trusted.

Cinesi ... Non consiglio l acquisto ...

The chicken door I ordered—advertised…
The chicken door I ordered—advertised as expensive—arrived defective. I immediately requested a refund because I cannot trust this company again.
First, they acted like they couldn’t even find my order. It took three attempts and multiple emails just to get them to acknowledge the purchase. Then they insisted I send the door back to their address and provided instructions that required photos. I followed every step, sent the photos to the email, and put the item AND phots in their box.
After that, they still wouldn’t clearly give me the return paperwork. When I asked for the return slip, they told me: “This is the address to send it.” The return shipping to Slovenia would cost €25—on top of a defective product I received from them in the first place.
This was a terrible experience. Do not trust this company. If you want to avoid issues like this, choose Amazon instead.

Run Chicken Support: Copy, Paste, Ignore, Repeat
Run Chicken Support: Copy, Paste, Ignore, Repeat
One star only because zero is not an option.
Run Chicken’s customer support is quite possibly the most useless customer service experience I have ever encountered. This is not customer support. It is an automated loop wearing a human name.
I contacted Run Chicken because my Door Giant, which is just over a year old, can no longer be programmed correctly. The online scheduler successfully communicates with the door, but the programmed times are approximately two hours off, suggesting a time-zone issue. The new app does not communicate with the door at all. I explained both problems clearly in my very first email.
What followed was several days of Run Chicken repeatedly sending me the exact same generic programming instructions while seemingly ignoring nearly every word I wrote.
I confirmed that my door has a physical button. I explained the programming process step by step. I described the lights, the beeps, the successful response when using the website, and the complete lack of response when using the app. I sent a screen recording showing my app settings. I then sent a video showing the door entering programming mode correctly.
None of it mattered.
Rather than address the actual problem—the app does not work and the website is using the wrong time—they continued asking me to prove that I was following the instructions. After I provided the requested proof and again explained that the door enters programming mode without issue, their response was to tell me to use the app and paste the same instructions yet again.
It is almost impressive how consistently they managed to respond without answering the question being asked.
The problem was never that I did not know how to press a button. The problem was never that the door would not enter programming mode. The problem is that Run Chicken’s programming platforms do not work correctly, and their support department appears either unwilling or unable to troubleshoot anything beyond copying and pasting a standard response.
This is particularly unacceptable because this product is supposed to protect live animals. A door that closes roughly two hours earlier than programmed is not a minor inconvenience. Customers should not have to babysit an automated livestock door because the manufacturer cannot maintain a reliable programming method or provide competent technical support when its software fails.
Run Chicken has also changed its programming platform without providing clear, consistent communication to existing customers. I was previously told not to use the app because it did not work and to use the website instead. Now I am being told not to use the website and to use the new app—which also does not work. When I asked which platform I am actually supposed to rely upon and how they intended to resolve the issue, they simply sent the instructions again.
No technical diagnosis. No acknowledgment of the apparent time-zone problem. No meaningful troubleshooting. No escalation. No proposed repair or replacement. Just the same canned response, over and over, as though the customer will eventually become exhausted and go away.
A product is only as reliable as the company standing behind it. Based on this experience, when a Run Chicken door stops working properly, customers may be left with an expensive red panel, a useless app, contradictory instructions, and a customer support department that treats reading comprehension as optional.
I would not recommend Run Chicken to anyone who needs a dependable automatic door—or who expects an actual human being to read their message when something goes wrong.

We appreciate you explaining the issue so thoroughly. Our goal is always to provide helpful, personalized support, and we clearly fell short in this instance.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Feedback like yours helps us identify areas where we need to improve, not only our software but also our support process. This would have been a five-star…
This would have been a five-star review, I thought it was a great product and I bought three of them. And it was a great product at first. But now they've changed the phone app so that you cannot use it unless you have an internet connection. There should be no need to connect to the internet since it uses Bluetooth to connect to the door. But the app won't startup without an internet connection. Although the old version of the app did work. You can't sell stuff to rural people in the United States and expect that they'll be able to have an internet connection in their chicken coop. Strike two is that the app now says the coop door battery is at 0% capacity when it's actually at full strength. The app decides that enough time has passed that you should change the battery and starts lying to you saying that the battery is at a lower and lower percentage as the days pass until it tells you it's at 0% capacity. Yet it's showing a full four volts. And still works fine. I don't want an app that just lies to me. That's not helpful and certainly does nothing to earn trust. You guys need to build a decent app or bring back the old one. You've made your product useless to me. What gives guys? You had a truly great product going there, until you ruined it.

Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience.
We'd just like to clarify one important point: our door does not require a Wi-Fi connection to connect to the app. The connection between your phone and the door is made via Bluetooth, so you can configure and manage the door even without Wi-Fi at your coop. An internet connection is only needed for certain app-related functions, such as downloading or updating the app, but not for communicating with the door itself.
We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve both our products and the app experience. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to make this right.

Feeder came broken after waiting 4 weeks for delivery
First - They listed their automatic chicken feeders as "IN STOCK" in huge lime green writing while putting, "2-3 weeks preorder" in small writing in the description.
Second - After 4 weeks of waiting, the feeder came BROKEN. The door wasn't installed correctly and would not open or close. I had to fix it myself. I just knew that in order to replace it, it would take weeks or months of communication with this bootlegged company just to get a new one. This was my mistake.
Third - After ONE WEEK, my chickens have managed to break the door! They pecked the gear/hinge right off.
This feeder was not cheap and took a month to receive. It came broken, I fixed it myself, and now it's broken because it's made poorly.
I also want to mention that I somehow got looped into a mass chain email with other customers (that's how unprofessional this company is). There are several emails from customers all saying the same things as me - their feeder came broken after waiting 4 weeks but they're actively trying to return it while getting ignored by this company.
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.

Dear Nell,
We're sorry to hear about your experience.
First, we'd like to apologize for the extended wait time. At the time of your order, demand for our feeders significantly exceeded our forecasts, and we were unable to maintain the lead times we had originally communicated. We understand how frustrating it is to wait longer than expected for a product, and in your case, we recognize that we fell short of the standard we aim to provide.
We're also concerned by your report that the feeder arrived with a malfunctioning door and later sustained damage during use. After reviewing our records, we were unable to locate any prior support request related to these issues. This means we unfortunately were never given the opportunity to troubleshoot the problem, provide replacement parts, arrange a replacement unit, or discuss a refund if appropriate.
We strive for perfection in both our products and customer experience, and receiving a broken product is certainly not aligned with the standards we set for ourselves. Had we been made aware of the issue earlier, we would have wanted to investigate it immediately and work with you toward a satisfactory resolution.
We have reviewed your order and will be reaching out to you directly to better understand what happened and see how we can help resolve the situation.
