had the unit for 2 months
We have had the unit for about 2 months. One time I opened the door manually and for no apparent reason it closed on a chicken. This closing right after manually opening has happened more than once. Another time in the middle of a cloudy day it closed and locked out my chickens. Luckily we were home at the time. Lastly, the batteries have already been drained in our cold December weather, so it is not a very good option for cold climates and electric corded option is necessary. I do like the ease of the system, but all the things promised do not deliver. It is not a worry-free option. I feel like I wasted my money.
