At night the entire compound is very dark with mostly solar lights. I sustained a fall and twisted my ankle going down the dark stairs to Dorado restaurant. Ended up needing medical attention!!

The Royalton Smugglers cove was the best holiday my wife and I have been on. The complex is amazing, the staff are just amazing. Couldn't fault anything. Very nice location, big shout out for Rawle and Prosperity on the front desk two very much happy and helpful guys, all of the catering teams who produced all of the food every day. I give them a big big thankyou. The staff who run the buffet hall are so welcoming, greeting you with a smile. They all work very hard to give us the best holiday and don't get the credit they deserve. Many thanks to Peterson, Sharmay, Crystal, Rochelle, Joanna (5 cent),Alexandra, Nessa, Kendal, Jason, Catheena the tui rep to name a few. They all made our holiday very special. A credit to Royalton Smugglers cove. If I have left anyone out I'm sorry, you are all amazing people and if you can put up with us again we would love to come back next year as we are missing you already ❤️ ♥️

Royalton splash, Punta Cana I wasnt expecting it to be a super great spot for adults as it is more of a resort for kids. I have no complaints as an adult it was super fun and still a lot to do. The beachfront is a train ride away at the next resort over (also a royalton resort) but 5he waves were always super choppy and high and the beachfront was a lot smaller than other resorts I've been to. The buffets food was maybe a 6/10 but the specialty restaurants were on point. The party pool was fun for both adults and kiss, but they did have other pools if you want a more relaxed experience.

What should have been a special family holiday has turned into one of the most disappointing resort experiences we’ve ever had. We have been staying at Royalton Antigua from 28 May to 8 June and have encountered issue after issue throughout our stay. On 1 June, I formally raised concerns with the Diamond Club reception and requested that management contact me directly. Despite assurances that this would be escalated, four days later nobody from management had contacted us. That lack of accountability perfectly sums up our experience. The problems included rude and dismissive staff, frequent food and drink shortages across the resort, confirmed restaurant reservations that mysteriously didn’t exist when we arrived, poor maintenance, dirty pool areas, and Diamond Club benefits that offered little value despite the additional cost. Hygiene standards were particularly concerning. We found cockroaches in accommodation and shower areas, showers that were not properly cleaned, and a hydrotherapy experience where many facilities were out of service. Around the resort there were obvious maintenance issues, including damaged areas around the swim-up bar. The final straw came when my three-year-old nephew picked up dog faeces from the pool area with his bare hands. There also appeared to be an ongoing problem with dog fouling on the beach. For a resort marketing itself as a luxury family destination, this is simply unacceptable. The only positive aspect of our stay was our butler, Dwayne, who consistently went above and beyond to help and was the only member of staff who seemed genuinely interested in resolving issues. What makes this even more disappointing is that many other guests we spoke to reported similar experiences involving food shortages, cleanliness concerns, maintenance problems, and poor customer service. We understand that operational issues can happen in any hotel. What we cannot accept is the complete lack of ownership, communication, and action when legitimate concerns are repeatedly raised. Royalton Antigua falls far short of the 5-star luxury experience it advertises. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this resort and would strongly advise prospective guests to consider alternative options.

Royalton Antigua. Absolutely stunning resort, although much smaller than the Punta Cana resort in the Dominican. Beautiful beach and facilities. When we arrived as Diamond Club members sadly we were given a dreadful room overlooked by staff arriving for work, having their breaks etc… it was a Mountain View but it actually overlooks a hill with trees and not overly the tropical idyll. The noise from the staff and works vehicles plus lack of privacy was just awful. I asked to be moved 3 times and was told it would by the diamond club reception staff, cost me a further £650. Luckily however on our 3rd day, the hotel manger Della, took our complaint seriously, as I had videos etc… and within hours we were moved to a stunning room with a stunning view !!! After this, the customer experience manger Neicer, and Della were so very lovely and regretful for how our holiday had started ! Five stars to these two !! Also a shout out for our Butler Brandon, we didn’t need to use him very much but he was such a lovely man !! And to Davida on the main reception !!! Negatives hence my 4 stars are that sadly, as Was recognised by the guest experience manger Neicer, some of the staff need customer service training and learning how to smile more, as some were actually very sullen and rude, however she did tell us that this was being addressed. Finally the bars often ran out of beer and wines, particularly the swim up bar and diamond beach bar, and although the pool bar shouldn’t close until 6pm it frequently closed at 4.30 - 5pm which was really quite disappointing. It would have been great to also have a bar on the beach that was own into the evening until say 11pm to watch the sunset and the experience of being a at such a lovely beach ! All in all however a superb holiday !!!

My husband and I recently stayed at Royalton CHIC Punta Cana with several couples and friends while celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, our overall experience was mixed, and we would rate the resort a 3 out of 5. We were disappointed that several amenities included in our package were either not offered or never provided. Resort credits, premium spirits that were advertised, and certain room amenities were either unavailable or not communicated during our stay. For guests paying for upgraded experiences, this was frustrating. The Diamond Club upgrade did not provide the value we expected. Butler service was inconsistent, and many of the advertised benefits did not significantly enhance our vacation. Additionally, guests assigned to the 3rd and 4th floors should be aware that there are no elevators, which can be challenging when carrying luggage or navigating the resort multiple times a day. Housekeeping was another concern. The white bath towels and washcloths provided throughout the week were frequently stained, which impacted the overall impression of cleanliness. Food quality was acceptable, but the variety became repetitive during a week-long stay. We also experienced inconsistent customer service throughout the resort, with some staff members being friendly and attentive while others seemed uninterested in assisting guests. The highlight of our stay was our butler, Junior Santana. He was professional, friendly, responsive, and genuinely cared about making our vacation enjoyable. He consistently went above and beyond and was one of the few team members who delivered the level of service we expected. We also appreciated the beautiful anniversary room decorations, which made our special occasion feel recognized. Royalton CHIC Punta Cana has potential, but management should focus on delivering the amenities being advertised, improving consistency in customer service, enhancing housekeeping standards, and reevaluating the value of the Diamond Club experience. While we made the most of our trip and enjoyed celebrating with friends, the resort did not fully meet our expectations.

I stayed at Royalton Saint Lucia in January 2026. While the resort itself was enjoyable, my refundable security deposit of USD $200.00 still has not been returned almost 4 months later despite multiple email follow-ups and formal escalation emails!! I left the room in the same condition as I received it, everything in order, no damages. I was promised the refund will be processed between 7-10 business days after my checkout. Communication from the management and staff has now stopped entirely as they are no longer responding to my emails. The Accounts Receivable Manager, Marika Ferdinand, last email to me was on March 13, 2026 requesting the last 4 digits of my card which I provided. She has not since replied although I followed up multiple times. I also sent another follow up email today to another staff and still no response. Additionally, I’ve confirmed with my bank that there are no refunds pending to be processed to my card. This is a very disappointing post-stay experience and extremely concerning from a customer service standpoint. I am a Marriott Bonvoy Elite member as I travel frequently and it is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a hotel under the Marriott brand. It makes me question the integrity of this hotel particularly as it relates to the financial controls over customer refund processing. I would strongly encourage future guests to closely monitor any deposits charged during their stay and subsequent refunds.

Be warned and do not stay at Royalton St Lucia. We did not get what we paid for in a top rated and cost room. Tried working with them numerous times but they flat out ignore you and do not respond. This is not acceptable. On Trip Advisor they send their sincere apologies and to contact them. Which we repeatedly did with zero response.
