I’ve trusted Rover.com to find dog sitters both here at home and when we are on the road. I’ve found wonderful, responsible dog lovers wherever I’ve gone. They are my go-to place when searching for dog caregivers I can trust with my fur baby.

I was a bit apprehensive about having to leave my dog Abby at a kennel for 2.5 weeks. After doing some research on line, I found Rover. It was a great experience for both me and Abby. Cindy sent pictures and kept me informed of how Abby was doing. I know she was receiving great care. I will use Rover again!

It is a great service because there are many pet sitters to pick from. Many are students and they usually send photos of your pet often.

We booked 3 drop-in visit in Jupiter, FL with young lady claiming to provide "vet quality care" because she works at doggie daycare and studying to be a vet tech. After completing all 3 visits over 2 days she notified us an hour after the final visit she lost our house keys. We immediately checked the camera footage to confirm she lost the keys when she took our dog on a walk the very first day. We contacted Rover for a refund just to cover having to rekey the house for safety reasons with our kids. Rover claimed there was nothing they could do even though we have video evidence. Mostly upset she was dishonest about when and where she lost the keys. She chose not to notify us until she collected full payment from Rover. Then ghosted us. We could have canceled her 2 visits if we knew she lost the house key on the 1st visit. Rover is a middleman. You are better off hiring someone directly and paying AFTER the visit is completed and you have your keys back. Make sure to get dog walker Full name, number and references to call before allowing in your home. I'd even say go as far as asking if they have insurance and for their ID. Get a serious professional dog walker willing to be honest and do the right thing when something goes wrong.

I’m happy to report that my experience with Rover was wonderful! My cat loved our sitter Thy N., she was extremely respectful, and she even sent photo updates every day to keep us feeling comfortable.

I’ve used Rover twice now. Both times I got a caring, energetic dog walker while I had to be away for the day.

Fortunately a sitter we have used in the past was available. This was for a holiday, which can be very hard to find someone. Rover made it easier to find someone available.
