Overall, I think this is a good system for pet sitting that has solid safety and accountability measures. The reliability and communicativeness of each individual sitter varies, but I have had good luck most of the time. It isn't cheap though. I have used this several times and would use it again in the future.

I would not recommend Rover for anyone looking for a reputable Pet Sitter. I only use the service one time and had a terrible experience with the sitter, who was highly rated on the app, not following the instructions I had given her for a very anxious dog. I have since heard from others that they had terrible experiences as well and that their negative reviews were deleted. The company wants to make it seem like everything is great when it’s really not.

My dog became sick while in the care of a Rover sitter. Customer service did not take my concerns seriously, which was extremely disappointing given the importance of pet safety.
