The people seem genuinely interested in taking care of my dog. They want him to be as comfortable with them as possible.

Rover has been such a great help, allowing us to travel with ease, confidence, and trust while away from our fur babies. We have found available sitters in our area, even at the last minute. We have only used Rover for pet boarding at the sitter's home, but they also offer a variety of other services to help care for your pet.

I have had the absolute WORST experience leaving my dog in one of this company’s “acclaimed” pet sitters. Rover, you need to do better in vetting your pet sitters. My poor dog was left in her harness for an extended period of time and ended up with a horrible rash. Michelle C. tried to claim that my dog was only ever in her harness for the first two days of care (48 hours, FAR too long to begin with) and then mentioned that my dog had attempted to force herself into the covered cat litter box, suggesting she may have somehow injured herself that way. I took my dog to the vet and it was determined she is suffering from a potential allergic reaction to her recent environment/care (+ friction from the harness rubbing her skin raw) . Additionally, I had warned (both in person and via text) Michelle C. that my dog may need ear drops as she was recovering from a recent ear infection but it had mostly healed up. I provided the ear drops and simple instructions when I dropped my dog off to Michelle C. and kindly asked that she be on the lookout for any redness or flakiness in my dog’s ears. My dog was returned to me with bilateral ear inflammation, redness, dried blood and flakiness. The ear drops did not appear to have been used at all. My dog has also lost a significant amount of weight since leaving her in Michelle C’s care— it is suspected that she was not fed properly during her stay with Michelle C., contrary to (voluntary) reports of no eating issues. My dog’s food container did not appear to be as empty as it should have been. It is my opinion that Michelle C. does not meet the criteria of a proper caregiver in any sense of the term. I am extremely disappointed in Rover. I demand a refund, IMMEDIATELY. I would also like you to ensure that Michelle C. will not further endanger any other pets on this app. It is beyond irresponsible and unprofessional to offer a service of care and then behave in such a neglectful manner.

Mes 2 expériences avec Rover ont été plutôt mauvaises. Les pet-sitter ne restaient jamais les 30 minutes de visite prévues dans le tarif. Rover ne contrôle ni le nombre de gardes simultanées pour un même pet sitter ni la durée des visites. Résultats : certains pet-sitter se font un business au détriment du bien-être des animaux.
