Rover itself has been and will be such an important part of our life. I've had the pleasure of having Brianna take care of our furry baby! Our dog loves the visits from Brianna because she goes above and beyond her basic check in visits, she plays with our dog.She spends time with her makes sure that she is happy and comfortable. With that being said, Rover ensures that the people that provide service through them are nothing but the best! When me and my husband travel, we have peace knowing that our little furry baby is in great hands! The services are outstanding.The prices are very accommodating, and it's just the best simple but true!

My experience with the cat sitter was good, but navigating your website was a challenge for me.

I had an absolutely unacceptable experience with Rover that still doesn’t sit right with me years later. They allowed a literal monster to care for our dog, and when everything came to light, they took zero responsibility. This individual was eventually arrested and charged with over 45 counts of animal abuse. Let that sink in. Someone capable of that level of cruelty was freely operating on their platform, being trusted by pet owners like me. What’s even more disturbing is that this wasn’t completely out of nowhere. From what I understand, there were prior issues or charges related to animal abuse before the major case, which raises serious questions about how thorough their background checks actually are. When I reached out to Rover after learning what happened, I expected urgency, accountability, something. Instead, I got nothing. No ownership of the situation, no meaningful response, and no refund. Just a complete refusal to acknowledge the severity of what they allowed to happen. This isn’t just about one bad sitter. It’s about a system that failed at multiple levels. Rover positions itself as a safe, trusted marketplace for pet care, but this experience exposed a massive gap between that promise and reality. If someone like this can slip through and operate unchecked, how many other animals have been put at risk? It’s honestly disturbing. Pet owners are placing their trust, their homes, and their animals in Rover’s hands, and in this case, that trust was completely misplaced. The lack of accountability afterward is what makes it even worse. Mistakes can happen, but refusing to own them is what really erodes confidence. I would strongly caution anyone using Rover to do far more vetting than you think is necessary. Do not rely on the platform alone to keep your pet safe.

recently signed up for Rover and had a mixed experience. It took a couple of tries to find someone available to walk my dogs, but I eventually connected with a walker who seemed confident and capable when we met. Unfortunately, the service didn’t go as expected. On the first scheduled day, she canceled last minute due to a migraine. While I understand things happen, it was short notice. The following day, she arrived for a scheduled 30-minute walk but only walked my dogs for about 13 minutes. This was disappointing, as I expected the full service I paid for. I’ve also had difficulty getting in touch with Rover regarding a partial refund or adjustment. Overall, I think the platform has potential, but consistency, accountability, and customer support need improvement.

This was my first time using a service to watch my dogs, and I was so surprised by how easy it was to find great sitters nearby. The reviews were incredibly helpful. We had a great experience!

There were so many good candidates available to choose from. I heard back immediately from the one I contacted, and she was very professional and willing to accommodate my requests, including meeting for practice walks to allow my dog an easy transition. I received regular reports and on time reliable visits.
