I completed my pet profiles two weeks prior to visits starting. The profiles included my pets weights….both under 100 pounds. But the night before my trip I was charged an additional fee of $426 for “pets over 100 pounds” and “additional services fees”. I did reach out to the company on chat but have not had a resolution yet. It has only been three days though.

Home visit before calmed any fears I may have had using a new sitter. They left our home neat and clean, and the 3 dogs were happy and calm.

Very easy to use. Marion, the dog sitter, responded immediately and was able to accommodate us. She was friendly and excellent with our dog Maddie.

I had a really disappointing experience with Rover. The host had explicitly stated there would be no other pets, but when I arrived there were multiple cages and a large number of dogs barking nonstop. The situation made me extremely uncomfortable and anxious, and it was completely different from what I expected based on the profile. I didn’t feel safe leaving my dogs there, so I had to cancel immediately and urgently find another sitter last minute. What made it even more frustrating was that Rover did not provide me with a full refund or any support, and kept this host on their app. I understand policies exist, but in situations where the environment is clearly not as expected and pet owners feel uncomfortable or unsafe, there should be more support and flexibility from Rover. This experience caused me a lot of unnecessary stress.

I HAVE ALL GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT ROVER , VERY GOOD COMPANY TO DEAL WITH AND THEIR SITTER STACIE WAS THE BEST. SO HAPPY I FOUND THEM -SHARON BURGIO PLEASE GIVE MY NAME IN REVIEWS.

Lots of choices and alternatives to board my dog somewhere besides a kennel. I felt comfortable knowing the people and places were checked out first. Booking was easy. Calendars with availability was nice.

First time, using the service. Which was a awesome experience

1 star. A dog boarder cancelled on me only three weeks before my holiday, which was extremely disappointing and stressful. What’s worse is that because the sitter cancelled, I was unable to leave a review. That seems like a major flaw in the system, as future customers have no way of knowing whether a sitter is actually reliable. Transparency matters when people are trusting someone with their pets.
