Andrea was great

Rover was easy to use and provided a significant amount of information about sitters. It helped me feel comfortable arranging for someone who was basically a stranger to housesit and pet-sit for me. I recommend it and would use it again.

The initial visit commenced with the arrival of the Sitter, who let the dogs out. Unfortunately, one of the dogs jumped the fence, causing the Sitter to call in a bit of panic. Consequently, I had to call on another individual to assist her. This happened to be our normal sitter who initially had other plans but had to cancel them, which was extremely lucky for us, and she was able to immediately run to the rescue. During this time, the Sitter inquired about the possibility of having the other sitter take over and watch the dogs for the remainder of the visits and requested the cancellation of the remaining visits. I agreed to her request. The remainder of the visits were canceled as requested and it was mutually agreed upon. I then hired the other Dog Sitter. We were already out of town at that time and it was the best solution. Prior to the cancellation, we had conducted a meet-and-greet, during which I affirmed that the Sitter was capable of handling the dogs. The Sitter confirmed with me that there would be no issues. I confirmed this because our dogs have a somewhat challenging dynamic. I subsequently contacted Rover’s customer service to inform them of the situation. They only provided me with a partial refund. They explained that, according to the sitters’ cancellation policy, we would only receive a partial refund despite the fact that the Sitter had canceled the visits due to her inability to fulfill the remaining commitments. Consequently, I ended up paying partial payment to the Sitter, the cost of Rover, and the cost of the other Dog Sitter all this while I was already out of town, which incurred additional expenses as well as stress. Despite none of this being my fault, it ultimately resulted in financial losses for me.

Within minutes I had three sitters willing to care for my pets. The process was simple and I was 100% satisfied with the responsiveness and excellent care my pets received.

Rover makes it much easier to find Dog sitters that are close and rated good. Don't love the extra fee I have to pay, but it has been a good choice for my dog care while away. Thanks!
