I was very happy to select between a range of people. The person I found was excellent and I would recommend Rover.com for anyone’s pet sitting needs.

I think that Jackie was probably great with my pets. I did not leave a tip because I came home 24 hours early, yet prepaid for the full contracted stay. I also assumed that a sitter would leave my home as I left it, which was immaculate. It was not. I also had asked that my garden areas and potted plants would be watered adequately. One of my skillets that she used was ruined to the point of having to throw it away. Jackie was a very friendly person though and sent me photos of my pets.

The sitter was absent for 23 of 24 hours the first full day of sitting and didn’t communicate with me so I could arrange care/exercise for them. For one day of 6 she did everything that was asked but other days she didn’t fill water, didn’t give meds, communicated she was at the house when she was not at the house. On day 5 sitter complained to Rover about me being dissatisfied with her care and having a camera which I didn’t realize was a problem given sitter had agreed and even adjusted it for me. I immediately agreed to no camera. Rover had me make a statement and provide photos and then never communicated to me after that. So I paid for 9 days but cancelled the last 3 days, spent my time away managing dog care I thought was managed and then wasted my time writing an email/providing pics for no response from Rover. Also cancelled 3 days of vacation. It cost me repeatedly from start to finish.

I was extremely impressed with Rover.com. Their screening process for both pet owners and caregivers was thorough and reassuring—they truly crossed every T and dotted every I. Most importantly, the wonderful person who cared for our little dog was kind, attentive, and absolutely fantastic. A great experience from start to finish!
