Would give Zero stars if I could. Beyond terrible Lender w/ horrible customer service. We have never once been late on a payment. Had extenuating circumstances that caused us to make a late payment. Called in to receive assistance & was told it would not be fair to give us any help b/c of all the other people who may not call in for help. What?!? Then proceeded to end the call by saying, please call back if you need assistance. WHAT?!? I called you for assistance this one time and you said NO. They don't care about reviews or helping people. If we had any control, I would switch lenders immediately and not give them any more of our hard earned money. This is truly a company that does not care about people but only values making money.

UPDATE 8/5/2026. They reply to your negative reviews and tag an email to reach out to so they can assist you. Its clearly just so they can make it appear to people perusing reviews as if the company is actively attempting to assist someone that had a less than a stellar experience. Its been 9 days since I reached out to that email... Don't let them fool you, there's nobody coming to help lol. Never been late. Had an issue with my chase account. I’ve never really had a company not waive fees for an accident like this (especially when it’s the first time ever), round point doesn’t waive anything. Regularly delinquent or a simple mistake, they treat you the same. Enjoy the single star. You earned it.

Worst customer experience ever! They are still in 1st Century, no app to even pay or check on anything. I am so weary just trying to give them $$$

Worst company ever!!! The people are ignorant, rude and Do not give you a chance to speak. They literally told me they will not speak my title company regarding the payoff of my loan even after I have given written permission. The information they are willing to provide to show a payoff was insufficient and they are not cooperative. Every time I have had to deal with them, they are unprofessional and rude!!!!!

We had an increase in our escrow that we didn't realize. When we mailed the normal check, it was insufficient for that reason. They then charged us a late fee of $115. Then we made our next payment and the deducted the $115 and applied the balance to principal making our next payment late. I called, paid the balance online via ACH, changed to eft monthly payments and goat a late fee for $10.08. They couldn't explain it and after hours I decided to pay it. Run away from this company as fast as you can.

Changed homeowner insurance. provided new information to Roundpoint per their instructions. They are now asking for same info again and have not yet paid the premium with the massive amount of $$ we sent to our escrow account. The worst company in my experience.

This company is the worst company to deal with they hold money that you get from your insurance to repair your home. You have to put money out of your own pocket to repair your home to try to get the money back out of them that they have to send inspections for they should never be allowed to interfere with the process that I paid the insurance premiums for to get the insurance. Money should be paid directly to me. Should never involve the mortgage company. They tried to tell me that I had to hire Contractirs that they approved. They wanted the contractors to sign papers that they wouldn’t do a lien. They wanted all this that and the other from the Contractirs which all of them refused to do and I can’t blame them. Round point is slow they lie they’ll tell you that we mailed the check on the 15th and they’ll hold it for another 20 days before they actually mail it but tell you know it was mailed so that you cancel the check and then it takes them another 7 to 10 business days to issue you the check again when you request our demand that it be overnighted they still send it by regular mail with no tracking none or whatever this is the absolute worst company in the world to deal with my suggestion is if you have a mortgage before you get a mortgage, you have them put it in the paperwork that they can never sell your mortgage to round point Mortgage).

For the past year, I had been overpaying my mortgage with Roundpoint by a couple of hundred dollars each month. This month, I wanted to make a standard payment, so I reverted to what I thought was the standard amount. Turns out I underpaid my mortgage payment by $51.17 because I had not updated my bill-pay app with the revised payment amount from the previous escrow adjustment. I didn't realize this until I started getting calls from Roundpoint. They charged me a $56 Late Fee for my $51 deficit. In talking with their Customer Service Rep I learned that had the amount been under $50 they would have charged it forward to escrow or the next month's payment. I asked if they had any latitude to forgive the late fee and was informed that they did not. Even when I pointed out that I had never been late over several years of service, he told me that it did not matter, that they offered no grace. I found their lack of flexibility to be very impersonal. Over Fifty Dollars for such a simple error seems egregious.
