We've had our mobile coop in use for about two months -- it's home to four 12-week-old pullets-- and thus far, we are very pleased. The built-in feeder and waterer make caring for the chickens hassle-free. I haven't had to clean the coop yet, just rake the yard after we move the coop, which is very easily done. Fingers crossed, we haven't had any predator problems, although something keeps stealing the lid to the feeder (it is now lost), which is my only complaint -- I wish it was more secure. We haven't had any eggs yet so I don't know how the nesting box will work -- right now, the chickens sleep in it at night. I'm hoping we can break them of the habit before they start laying, otherwise we will have to block the entrance to it at night. Overall, we're very happy with the coop's construction and use. It was worth the money.

Coop and run arrived earlier than expected and in excellent condition. Took the wife and I about 3 hours to assemble from the four flat pack boxes everything came in. We 'staged' / laid out and labeled everything as recommended which, made the build go so much easier. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. We loved the plastic 'tackle box' all the screws, bolts hinges, drivers etc. came in. Very nice touch! Build quality was certainly as expected. While we paid a bit more for our UCC coop our rationale was that we'd rather have a coop strong enough to withstand critter invasion and that would last beyond a season or two, unlike so many of the cheap Chinese [fir] (thin small wood framed) built coops. We did take precautions to ensure our coop lasts even longer by building it on paver stones under the parameter to keep the coop out of the mud and damp. The entire coop is solid cedar which is by far the best material for this kind of build, it will eventually rot if left sitting in dirt/mud (when it rains.) The backyard coop mostly went together easily. It's a good starter coop for 6 chickens. 10 may be a tight fit. There are quite a few improvements I'd like to see. Ex: A clean out door on both ends of the run, walk in option for run addition, and a larger roosting area for more birds are on the top of the list.

Great coops, bit pricey but worth it. The only thing is they had a grammatical error on our name on the outside of the coop!. Would highly recommend. Our chickens love them.

The coop seems to work well. I ordered it pre-assembled. It’s heavier to move than I thought it would be. It would be no trouble for two adults but my 8 yo daughter struggles to help lug it around. It arrived with a badly damaged, dented roof but a replacement was sent the next day and arrived in two days! The only problem I’ve had was keeping my hens from roosting in the nest box at night. The mobile design makes it difficult to access so I can’t just move sleeping hens to the roosting bars as I’ve been advised. This may not be a design issue and an issue with my whacky flock!

Excellent product!

Nice product. Easy to assemble. Great instructions. Had some issues with the magnets on the winterization kit and one of the panels blowing away in a 40 mph wind. Overall I am satisfied with the product.
