Almost 2 months ago I wanted to order a Shapeoko 4 XL, after experimenting a year with a cheap 4030 from SainSmart I decided to upgrade to a better machine. After a lot of reading and watching YT videos I decided to order my Shapeoko 4 XL. That’s where the waiting began. No one seemed to have any stock in Europe, I contacted Shapeoko and they told me to order from their European partner RobotShop, so I did. After waiting around 2 months they promised me that there would be new stock in early October. Quite a long wait but hey, I wanted my 4 XL so I accepted. yesterday I got an email from RobotShop that my order has been postponed again and that they expected a new shipment early December, but no guarantee, it could also be later. I cancelled my order today with RobotShop, I don’t want to wait that long anymore without any guarantee that it will be coming this time. Are supplies that bad with Shapeoko or is it just the European market or RobotShop? I am very disappointed and I’m going to look for another more reliable brand that can deliver a good CNC machine around the same price level.

I placed my first order with Robotshop Canada three days ago. Or at least, I tried to. Shortly after I placed the order, paid using my valid credit card, I got an email "Pending Robotshop order require's [sic] your assistance." The message informed me that my credit card information "didn't match" and that if I didn't get back to them in three days my order would be cancelled. There was no indication of what information "didn't match". The message also said "Please allow 24 hours in order for us to perform further verifications concerning your order". I checked my credit card banking site and found that they had already placed an authorization hold on my card for the amount of my order (over $700). So my credit card info couldn't have been that bad. I replied to the message immediately. I included the mailing address from my credit card statement and asked them to let me know if there was any other information they needed. I received no reply until the following day, but to be fair there was a holiday (which I'm not counting as one of the three days). The reply at noon yesterday (day 2) was "Please note that your order has been sent once again through our security system and updated status of the order should follow." I expected that it shouldn't take long and hopefully I'd get an update and they'd start getting my order ready by the end of that day. Nothing. It is now after business hours on the third day. Nothing has been done about my order all day, it is still listed as "processing". I heard nothing from Robotshop today about their "security system". I feel like I'm being treated like a criminal, like they don't care about my business, and definitely as if I'm being kept in the dark. The $700 is still on hold on my credit card. Since it's now been three days since they decided my credit card wasn't good enough for them, are they going to cancel my order now? If this isn't fixed and either the hold taken off my credit card or my order status updated by close of business ET tomorrow (April 7) I will be cancelling this order and ordering the items through Amazon. Amazon will charge me more, but at least they will accept my perfectly valid credit card and get my items shipped out right away. Robotshop should not be treating new customers like this if they want to keep us. I understand their need for security, but for first time orders they should add a notice on the ordering screen telling us to expect an extra security check, and telling us which information they need to pass their security check. That would prevent the unnecessary rejection and three plus days of delays and frustration I've experienced so far. I will update this review if/when this problem is resolved.

I tried to order some Arduino parts in Germany. First, half of the stuff they advertise is not in stock, expected in some 5 days from now. OK, I was on holiday and received a voucher as a gift, lets try.. After 1 week they extended their expectation by another 2 weeks, and this for simple parts which Amazon or Ebay drop in your mailbox the next day. Prices are stiff compared to the competitors. I do not know how they are in the US, but in Germany, keep your fingers off this shop. Is not worth it.

I'm writing here because I've had a package undelivered for over 4 and a half weeks now. I've been back and forth with customer service trying to get this sorted but they are useless, they are nice, but getting absolutely nothing done. DHL say they don't have it, and robotshop says they gave it to DHL. Overall it's been a frustrating experience trying to get them to do something about it.

A lot of good stuff in the web shop. But, unfortunately, the cost of shipping is amazingly high... (both US / EU) The thing is that when I play around and build somehing, I usually lack some minor part that I have to order. But, with the shipping costs that are grim even for the tiniest parts, instead I look to other shops with (I guess) often inferior quality. So, a suggestion to you guys at Robotshop: If you really want to be a web shop for hobbyists, please include cheaper shipping alternatives.

I placed an order on a Sunday night and wanted to cancel it and oder additional items to get free shipping. Since it was not during business hours I emailed them asking to cancel. They are on the east cost and I am in the Midwest (2 hour difference) so I planned on calling them first thing in the morning to be sure it was cancelled. Unfortunately they sent me an email at 8:11am EST saying my order had shipped. Since their business hours were 8-5pm est. that meant I had only 11 minutes to cancel over the phone. Remember I emailed them as well. It was highly unlikely that my order actually left the building, so I still tried to cancel but no joy. They were polite but in no way helpful. I believe this to be bad business practice.

Processus archaïque de vérification des CB prélèvement un petit montant sur la cb il faut attendre qu'il apparaisse sur le relevé de carte pour leur confirmer: la commande prend au moins une semaine dans la vue sans compter le fait de vérifier sans arrêt le relevé de cb en attendant le montant. Jamais vu ca sur un site marchand il y a des assurances pour ca!
