**Update: After posting this review, the most recent prescribing doctor finally made contact with me after weeks of nothing. However, he showed no accountability and gave very little info (basically, I could pay cash and there were no withdrawal symptoms from getting cut off the meds - basic stuff you already know from looking at a website.) So I decided to make a request to go the cash-pay route and a different doctor replied within MINUTES and updated my prescription and initiated the mail order minutes after that. This reflects an extreme bias to transactional patient interactions and does nothing to allay my concerns that doctors are just prescribers and nothing more. If a transaction is on the line, you’ll get fast attention. If it’s just your health you want to talk about, prepare to wait and don’t expect much.** The problem I see with Ro is that doctors are very far removed from care. I have never had a doctor reply to a question or concern. They do the prescribing, send a templated message, and then disappear. I hear from RNs or a patient advocate when I report symptoms or ask questions, but never a doctor. In my case, I had to switch insurance companies during my care. The first approved coverage of my medication, the next denied it. I have asked to hear from a doctor because I want one to call the insurance medical director, a reasonable step in the formal process following a denied prior authorization. A Ro RN tells me it’s non-standard for them to take that step - end of discussion. I have been denied contact with a doctor even after explicitly asking to hear from one on the matter. They are in charge of my care, but they are unreachable. If you’re considering paying for this service, I’d have to recommend that you go to a local doctor instead if having contact with a doctor during the course of your care means anything to you. I am now locked into a prepaid membership for eight more months, without covered medication and without the ability to reach a doctor. Not good value.
