Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear that you are pleased with your lanterns and that both arrived safely and without damage. We would like to clarify that removing the 12 screws and taking the lid off the larger lantern was not necessary. The smaller lantern was secured inside the larger one with protective Styrofoam. All that was needed was to remove the Styrofoam surrounding the smaller lantern, and it could then be lifted out without disassembling anything. Nesting smaller lanterns inside larger ones is a common packaging method used to protect merchandise during shipping while reducing unnecessary packaging and shipping expenses. Shipping these lanterns in two separate, oversized boxes would significantly increase shipping costs, which would ultimately be passed along to our customers. Our goal is to provide beautiful, quality merchandise at reasonable prices while ensuring orders arrive safely and undamaged. The fact that both lanterns arrived in perfect condition demonstrates that the protective packaging served its intended purpose. We are sorry you went through the unnecessary trouble of removing and reinstalling the screws, as that was never required to unpack your lanterns.
