I was assuming that ria helped with the withdrawal symptoms associated from stopping alcohol. I spoke with someone from here and asked several times about the types of meds that they use, unfortunately I couldn't get a straight answer Fortunately I researched this place and found out that they only prescribe the same medicine that you can easily get online without spending thousands of dollars. For 40 dollars you can get the same meds. This facility is probably better suited for people that don't have a physical addiction to alcohol but instead a habit of going to happy hour daily. I'm not sure why anyone would spend thousands of dollars on this program when you can get the same meds and other support from AA members that will talk with you 24/7 And these AA members have been there. I've heard hundreds of stories about people that have lived on the street and ate whatever they could find in trash cans. And now these same people are living much better. No more trash can food or living outside. Many books are available to help with your journey to recovery. Father Martin has several very inspirational and funny videos about the 12 step program and how to get sober. I'm no medical professional but still I deal in facts, and the facts are extremely easy to see. If you want to get sober try out an AA meeting and open your ears and talk with the members before and after the meeting AA will tell you that if you don't drink alcohol you can't get drunk. Keep it simple, one day at a time and get a sponsor and get the Big Book and read it Good luck with your journey and may God bless you. Don't forget if you're physically addicted to alcohol and start having issues from detoxing other than craving go to the hospital immediately.

I consulted with someone at Ria in consideration of the program and to confirm my insurance covered the care. I was told the program was completely covered. Then I was later told I would be completely covered after my deductible was met. I never intended to sign up and now I have to spend a lot of time cancelling.

I joined Ria Sep 8 over the phone. They were so excited my insurance would cover costs, which is a few thousand down and hundreds a month thereafter. Right away they scheduled me for a bunch of meetings which wasn’t what I was looking for. The first time I talked to a Nurse, was Sep 9 and that was only to verify the information I submitted on the phone and filled out online. No help/treatment/council on anything given. I was set to meet a nurse on a zoom call sep 10 at 11:00 am. I was told this was to go over options for treatment such as meds and was excited to finally receive help. I joined the zoom room at 10:50am, waited, and at 11:05 I get a text saying I was a no show. I called customer service and they said it was my fault and the nurse was gone for the day! I can reschedule for next week, but I need help today! After giving me the run around, I cancelled my membership. I then got an email saying that they’ve cancelled my membership but will continue to “Bill my insurance on my behalf” and charge me for continued services! I should have caught the red flag when they needed a credit card to put on file even after they promised my insurance would cover all costs. Update: When I terminated my membership, they had promised that I would not be charged for the meeting with the Nurse that did not show up. Well they did put a charge on my card. Not insurance like they said at first would cover everything, but my debit card. If you need help with alcohol, go anywhere else, cause dealing with Ria makes you want to drink till you pass out.
